So, I disagree with both of you - YES, she is sexy - maybe not to you personally, but to a lot of people, she most definitely is. Nobody is worried about how Adele or Angie Stone is looking (and I think they are both GREAT singers, so that's not a shot at either of them).

My point is that looks play a part in the game of sexiness and an unattractive woman couldn't sell "sexiness" on a massive scale in the way than an attractive woman could. Most of her sexiness is in her physical appearance.

Personally, I find her personality a big ass turn off. Still, I'm not going to deny that she has sex appeal.

The problem with her (as with most pop artists) is that the artists these days just serve as promoters for record companies ideas', interests and directives - which are almost always leading to the consumer spending money with them in some way. When Beyonce is singing, I envision Ashley Newton, president of Columbia Records voicing through her. So essentially, after writing teams come up with her songs, image teams come up with her various looks and PR firms come up with her artist direction and promotion, you are basically listening to

In this video even though it was natural she STILL had on make up. Ive seen photos of Beyonce without no makeup, lashes etc and while she is naturally not hideous or ugly she isnt nearly as beautiful as she is with makeup. She isnt naturally beautiful like some one like Alicia Keys or Halle Berry. She is someone who is okay without makeup but with make up she is beautiful.

But I just said all of that to say that just because someone does not have an popular opinion doesnt mean some people might not share that opinion because SOME do.

I didn't say ALL men find her sexy. I do stand by the fact that if she lacked conventional sex appeal, a label wouldn't invest millions in building her image unless she was niche market, which she is not. I had to laugh at that No one gives a damn about Crazy in Love, and I remember when i was on vacation, there was a business party in the ball room and when they played that song the floor cleared.

Beyonce's only talent is she can work the stage. But cooching poppin, and swinging your hair is not real dancing. Beyonce does club move dances, and not only that you can go the the carribean islands and see people dance like that everyday.

The first time she did some real intracate choreographed dancing was with Run the World and you saw how sloppy she looked doing those african dances.

If I were directing the video, I at least would've focused more on the whole prom thing. Beyonce likes to look gorgeous first and tell a story second. And she does look gorgeous (maybe I should switch to L'Oreal...), but it's BORING. The prom flashbacks showed a little personality and humor, and it would've sold the story of the song better (I might have used a college setting, however--more recent). Maybe she meets a nice guy at the Waffle House after her date acts a fool and they get married/have a successful life together, go back to the Waffle House in their Benz a couple of years later to eat and see that greasy ass fool working there. "Sucks to be you!" LOL.

Of course Beyonce is not the most beautiful woman in the world, she is just a product that is engineered to appeal to the widest demographic possible. And it's working very well. I think she is sexy, despite having no interest in her music, so one aspect of her product appeals even to me. It's just a marketing scheme, and a fantasy. Not even Beyonce looks like Beyonce, really.
