lol I forget which era it was, but there's this black and white picture of him and looks like he has a bird's nest on top of his head. lol

I was reminded of it when you mentioned the curly hair.

He tried updating his looks in this period. I remember it as they were originally planning Invincible to come out in 1999 so that's why his hair started to look like that when for years he was wearing his hair all curly.

I am always in awe at just how yummy he looks here drool3

Me too. I totally adore him here. I have never been a fan of him with straight hair, but this is just one of my all time favourite footages of him. I also love the photoshoot with this looks he did for TV guide. Maybe it's because he's got a bit of facial hair which I love on him, too.

Can anyone tell me what the interviewer says to him in part 1 that has him laughing, I can't make it out???

It was a better look then when Vince came out. That wasn't a good look.

Aside from that though I don't mind any look of his.

I don't mind it either. Something was just troubling during the entire Invincible era. You can kinda tell he was sick and tired...literally and mentally with recording music and doing the same thing time in and time out.

This. Especially during the 30th Anniversary Concerts. He looked so bored and tired of it all.

I didn't have the whole interview on tape when it aired, but I had excerpts from it on tape, and a transcript printed up from online. I thought it was so funny how he went "Hi, I'm Michael Jackson" and I'm like, I never noticed.... :lo: and the zombie thing was funny, I remember mocking it with my friend who's also a fan, we would randomly start talking about MJ-ism's when bored.

I felt happy to finally find this, or if I have seen the whole thing, I can't remember right now, sometimes I think the mental stress impacted my memory. I just can't watch it though I tried, will try again soon. And whoever said his skin tone is nice here, I agree. I know he has vitiligo and can't help it, but even back then I thought he was way too pale during HIStory and when I saw this look and the more nude tone he used on his skin since, I liked it better.

LMAO @ Christopher Columbus do

Michael wasn't sick of recording music during the Invincible era, he was sick of Sony and Tommy Moeittola SABOTAGING him AND the Invincible project. That was during the time that Mottola was trying to get a hold of Michael's share of the ATV catalogue and was releasing negative info to the media. It was also during the time that the media went into OVERDRIVE trying to destroy Michael(with the help of Mottola leaking info to Roger Friedman and others). Sony didn't promote Invincible at all in the US. He was telling people that there was a conspiracy against him and the media and others made it look as if Michael was lying and was crazy. EVERYTHING that he said during the Invincible era about Mottola and Sony was true. I am always amazed at how strong Michael was during this time. He took on the most powerful man in the industry at that time and called him out about his devious deeds and that is the very reason that Mottola was fired.

I agree. I loved this look on him. The facial hair made him look even sexier. I also miss his interviews. There will never be anyone else like him. The anticipation of EVERYTHING that he did can never be equalled. His aura, charisma and presence was amazing and can never be duplicated. He was a once-in-a-lifetime entertainer/artist/man.

I've always thought that the difference between 99 and 2001/2 was so interesting. In 1999 he did those charity concerts in Germany and Korea and seemed like he was still the same MJ. His movements were as sharp as ever, however at the MSG 2001 shows (just 2 years later) he seemed slightly lost on stage. His moves were sloppier, his timing was off at parts and he was constantly covering his mouth, and that's after they edited the two concerts to show the best of the nights. How badly was he hurt from the crane fall during Earth Song in 99? If he was on heavy medication that would probably explain the sluggishness in his movement and even in his speech.

However with that in mind, he looked so much better at the james brown BET tribute. "Make it funkay WHOOO!"

The Oprah series is airing here for the first time. Today the LMP interview was supposed to be shown and I found out they showed it two days ago. I am sooooo pissed cause I've been looking forward to that for two months. I wanted to see how they'd translate few things. DAMN IT!!!!

*suspects I'm the only person completely and totally unimpressed by this kid*

*also thinks MJ fans only fixate on him so much because of the rumor that he's Michael's son*

*thinks Bratty (spelling intentional) encourages it and gets off on it and whores out MJ's memory for his own press*
