"King Heroin" is one of my favourites. Great feel to it, very melancholy.

The songs I really like by James are in bold. I believe my absolute favorite from him is "Make It Funky" in it's entirety! I believe there are 4 parts.....

They have said it all, but I would add "She looks all types of good" and "Static" from the 80's, and "They don't want Music" from the 00's.

Is that the song with the Black Eyed Peas?

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I really like the ballads from that era, that was almost his strength in the pre "Papa's Got a Brand New Bag" era. Once he started doing hard R & B and funk the great ballads became less frequent.

Slightly off topic but I really hope that James was paid well for his appearance in this "masterpiece:"
