Why can’t others get their shine though you not feeling that they are up to his standards to break his record is subjective I mean they not at his level you can’t even compare them to Michael but others should be able to have success too. Michael legacy is fine.

I didn't know the oldest daughter on "Gimme A Break" made music.

I don't mind her being successful, cause most of the people on the radio right now don't matter to me anyways, and if it does, I'm very selective with it. But I just hate how she'll be perceived because of it, she's not all that great and there are talents out there today who deserve better than people like her. I like what Janelle Monae offers for example, and Adele too, it wouldn't really get to me much if it was one of them about to beat the record.

She's going to reach #1. She's #4 now, and the single was released on the 6 of this month. You might as well start screaming now.

I already am, it's going to take a miracle to keep her from getting to #1. I almost wish Britney would debut at #1 again just to keep it from happening her new song is one of the better newer ones IMO though still not all that

Like I said it’s subjective I don’t know I just usually don’t wish people to flop even if I don’t care too much for them good for her if she achieves that but yes Adele etc have more in the talent department. I wouldn’t get too uptight about it

I'd really rather not care about the charts. Whether MJ's record is broken or not he'll always be King of Pop I'm gonna go listen to For All Time now ^_^

Right... Mediocrity will never beat LEGEND and anyway she will just have the number ones as a FEMALE while Michael will have it as a MALE still and be known for setting the record in the first place.

Records are meant to be broken. I know Im in the minority here but I dig Katy. I like her attitude. Yes I see her flaws and questionable talent but she seems to be having fun. Plus she doesnt take herself all that serious and isnt thus far one of those, "IM AN ARTIST AND I DEMAND TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY." types.

I have my issues with Gaga, but I"ve resolved them and moved on. Michael is Michael and no one will replace him.

I don't care how many number ones anyone has. Quality is much more important that quantity. And Michael will always have that over anyone.

Besides, anyone say otherwise, respond with "he made Thriller". That should shut'em up. No one will ever sell over 100 million albums nowadays (not in my lifetime anyways). With iTunes and illegal downloading...gimme a break.

I think in this age where buying music is as easy as clicking a button (and lower amounts of sales equate to number 1 positions) records such as this will be broken and potentially surpassed.

It's a new age, a new way to buy music.

It takes nothing away from Michael who was first to do it, back in a time when if you liked someones music you had to get your lazy ass off your seat, down to the record store and buy a song.
