Hear LISA MARIE PRESLEY'S "Lights Out"!!! IMO a pleasant suprise!!!
I like it...very Sheryl Crow/Wallflowers-ish sound. I totally expected a more pop-sound for some reason... Looking foward to hearing the rest of the album... http://lisamariepresley.com/ Every minute of last night is on my face today....

LOL...Thanx maxx...I didnt think it was too bad..then again I like the sound she went for...her voice is not the greatest...but I did find the song enjoyable...probably not a potential smash pop single...but I could see it comfortably sandwiched between Matchbox 20 and Creed on AAA and Adult Alternative radio... I See thus far a More Nona Gaye type of Musical Career than Janet Jackson Career unless She Strikes a Chord?? mistermaxxx

Maybe a lil more than a Nona Gaye career...Jacob Dylan/Julian Lennon??? Big first record (airplay/media heavy)...then subsequent albums taper off...Capitol CEO Andy Slater (Fiona Apple/Macy Gray) is ALL OVER this record..so it'll get noticed one way or another... She Worked with Glenn Ballard who also Co-Wrote "Man in The Mirrior" for MJ back in 87.now if Linda Perry is on the Record The Former Leader of 4 Non-Blondes than She will Blow up because Pink&Chritstina are doing something similar to what Lisa Marie is trying to do.if this don't work I'd settle for a Playboy Spread mistermaxxx

I believe it's just Slater/Ballard/Presley on the record...I saw a 'making of' mini-documentary of it and that's all they showed...no one else was mentioned...who knows...Linda Perry is hot right now...Meredith Brooks tried with J.Love Hewitt...didnt do shit...anyway...back to LMP...she is very easy on the eyes...peace Every minute of last night is on my face today....

I was curious to know how the song sounded, but will search for it later...
I was also trying to get a peak at Mariah's new video at launch, and it looks like too many people were trying to also...

Not great, not bad...
but the hype will make it hit the charts... then, it will slowly... and very publicly...fade away... |

I heard one track off her CD the other morning on my way to work. She was being interviewed by a morning radio DJ. The song was cool...but Lisa Marie's personality came across a bit flat. She spit out alot of "..yeah..Uhum...yeah...Uhum...No...yeah...Uhum..."
Anyway...she IS the KING's daughter...so that makes up for it I guess. By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

And She was Married to The "KING OF POP" as well so that Counts as well.Anyway...she IS the KING's daughter...so that makes up for it I guess. mistermaxxx

If all the songs on the album are similiar to this one, all I can say is: this is the end product of the 10+ years she spent "working on" the music!? Erm, wow.
Not an awful song but it's pretty forgettable, IMO. She's a beautiful woman, though, no denying that.

It's actually a relatively catchy song. I think I might even like it were it not sung with that dreadful, flat timbre.

I wouldn't waste one second of my time listening to anything she sings.
