It was so true when they said that Kane was the only MC back in that era that everybody liked, the hardcore rap heads, the causals, and especially the ladies were all his fans.

That is really intersting. I remember thinking that his peers really seemed to respect him as I was watching this hip honors clip a few months ago http://www.youtube.com/wa...xsiTzBHQZg

Is there a present day rapper who garners that sort of respect/support?

Nope, I don't think there's one rapper in his era that get's that kind of respect from all fan factions

I think Andre' 3Stacks would be a candidate......

Can you name some songs? I don't think I know him.

I'm sorry, you probably know him as Andre' 3000 from OutKast. 3 Stacks is just another nickname for him.

I actually thought he was good in "posse". He actually stood out in the cast.

I just saw it and I like his episode. It's up there with one of my favs like with the Bootsy Collins episode. I like how he has a backbone and one of the few who would tell the execs no he wasn't going to start calling women bitches and hoez just cause it was "in". worship He was definitely fine back in the day and still is. nod Guess he shut down that rumor that he and Madonna slept together cuz that's surely what I read somewhere. Now we know the truth. More respect to him.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

It was obvious he was looking for attention by being goofy. Who goes by the name Little Daddy Shane? Unless u want to be in show business.

I know right. Biting off his famous big bro. disbelief With a name like Shane he could've easily found a more distinct moniker than that.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

They should've mentioned how he (and Heavy D and the Boyz) were the first rappers to dance prior to the arrival of MC Hammer lol

Not even close.

There were dance crews with rap singles years before any of them, and that wasn't even unique, since a lot of rappers and deejays started as dancers.

Whodini are credited with the first hip hop video for "It's Magic" (1981), and it features dancers, and they're doing choreography.

His flow is so much better now than it was back in the day.

Most rappers tend to fall off over time.

That stupid bitch Roxanne and her love of big feet had me like chatterbox

You're so glam, every time I see you I wanna slam!

Yeah I know about the dance crews and all of that. I was just thinking about the way Kane DANCED, which wasn't break dancing but more like James Brown's and Jackie Wilson's. nod

Nope. Whodini were first....and that's a lazy answer at that.

Furious 5 were introducing choreographed moves by 1984, Kool Moe Dee had dances named after him, Soul Sonic Force were dancers first, and the Fearless Four were dancing, and LL Cool J never stopped moving on stage.....and it goes on and on.

Kane's known for doing that new jack swing, but Will Smith even beat him there:

I think the gangsta rappers only had a problem with dancing.

That's when the head bobbing became a cool thing to do nod

Plus, they couldn't dance anyway lol

Everybody and their mama had dancers in hip-hop... so thanks for the corrections treehouse, I almost forgot about all of that.
