Love it!

They make some great music. I get so sick of everybody whining about there being no good music while simultaneously all but completely ignoring artists like this.

Thanks for posting this.

I have tried to like them, but can't get into them.

They sound like "cookie-cutter" Neo-Soul to me.

I really loved their debut release, Surrender to Love. Still one of my favorite R&B/Soul releases from 2000s. After that album, they bored the hell out of me, even though I did adore the "Where Would I Be" single from their second album. They never did anything for me after their debut album.

This new song is doing nothing for me! confused

Cookie cutter? Maybe you just don't know good neo-soul.

To me, Neo-Soul is the new Smooth Jazz. Both of them bore me (overall). I like some artists that are considered Neo-Soul (Erykah D'Angelo) but for the most part, all Neo-Soul is just dull to me. All are slow songs and most of the singers are mediocre at best. (Just my opinion)

My cousin, who is a big neo-soul lover, tells me that I'm just old and if it's not Prince, I don't like it. lol

I suspect your cousin is right. Neo-Soul is just as intricate as any other genre and moreso than some. If its not what you're into, that is understandable. It really sounds like you don't know the genre well enough to know the good from the bad. Its YOU, not them.

Hey, I'm the same way with trance music. I have a hard time distingushing the good from the bad because most of it gets on my nerves and I'm not interested enough in it to learn what's what. It all sounds like "thump, thump, thump" and it bores the fuck out of me. The difference is, I don't go into trance music artists' threads and dump on them.

You are right. I don't follow the genre only because I don't like the "underground" artists in that genre.

I don't like Eric Roberson, Dwele, Van Hunt, or many of the other Neo artists that people tend to post here. It all sounds the same to me. To quote a friend of mine, it sounds like uppity 20/30-somethings r&b.
