For real?

I went looking for the theme song to The Jeffersons...

And THIS was the ONLY video...I could find on Youtube...that hadn't been shut down and altered by Youtube....due to copyright infringement litigation...

I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

My fav Cosby theme was the island-themed one. I think that must've been seasons 2-3 or 3-4. I know Elvin was in it, so probably 3?

George Clinton's theme song for "The Tracey Ullman Show". Sounds very "purple". cool

The theme to "ALF". I always thought this instrumental was way too classy for a show about a wisecracking alien. lol

I gotta agree with everybody who posted themes from 80s shows.

I loved the theme to "Jem" - still do; same for "Perfect Strangers", and the "Too Close for Comfort" theme is just badass - it gets stuck in your head.

I'm just tripping, seriously! Because I just realized that the true SOUNDTRACK of MY life...significantly...consists of 1980's television Theme songs!

Here's another that had major impact on me!

I think that's true for all 80s babies.

It was just a great time to be growing up.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

That's exactly what I'm talking about - I was way off! LOL But yeah, this opening is killer! The choreography is on point, they're all having fun, and that music is epic!

Plus Phylicia looks fucking gorgeous as usual.

confuse Didn't necessarily "miss" it.
I just included a list of the themes I really like. razz
It does get points for the very good melody.

Seems like my list needs an update since it was pulled out last.
The Wire for sure. Season 1 and the groovy guitar in Season 5.
Props to Tom Waits for writing it in the first place.

I did forget about The Jackie Gleason Show theme (Melancholy Serenade)

Some favorites from my list.
