I wanted to cry when I saw Alex O'neal. Poor Cherrelle tried to save the song. Even in 2010 he didn't look as bad as he did last night.

Jill Scott and Patti were the best thing there. I did enjoy Kelly's performance, but wish she'd taken off the hat too. Chris Brown riding that bike at the end? And why didn't Kevin crack on Nicki and Lil' Wayne? Too easy????

I didn't watch this "awards" show but I really want to know....is Chris Brown really THAT good or am I just totally missing the boat here? I'm not much older than he is but I just don't get what's so great about him. Yes, he's good-looking (but not as a blonde) but can this dude sing? Dance, yes but sing? Um, NO it doesn't seem that way to me. I just don't see what's great about Drake or Nikki M to save my life. I seriously think I could get up there and do what these artists are "doing" but could I have gone up on stage and faked MJ, Prince or James Brown and actually be totted as this generation's legend/icon? Not a chance. I just don't see what makes these new artists so great when they rely heavily on auto-tune and marketing....someone please fill me in!

I was disappointed with Kelly. She was hiding underneath that hat, you could barely tell it was her, and doing a terrible job lip-syncing.Then the outfit looked wack, like something you wear to a funeral or to church. SO DISAPPOINTED

I never got it, either. But I know at least one teenaged girl who will listen to his crap all day, all night. I couldn't stand it when she'd borrow my computer, and that little whiny boy would be singing some generic sex song. I had to stick some earbuds in my ear and listen to Chaka! Same with Nikki! I have tried and tried to listen to her honestly, but I just CAN'T! Something about the sound of her voice and the delivery that just annoys me.

Who knows, it might be a young'un thing or a...hmm, I dunno. I take that back because there's people around my age and older who like those same ppl. I'm a big ol' square anyway, and I had a hard time identifying half the people on that awards show.

Except for Rick Ross. That dude is hella confident with the shirtlessness.
