Beastie Boys ~ Make Some Noise

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I'm surprised they used their old frat boy image (and Fight For Your Right) in the video, even though the Beasties themselves don't appear. They disowned it years ago. There are some samples of other songs from their upcoming release on Youtube as well.

That 'frat boy' image put them on the map. It also won them tons of fans that still act like that and swear that their first record was their best. If anythying it is making fun of that image a little bit and taking it to the extreme. Is that a Deolorean car at the end? Lol!

Prince - not black, not white........just COOL

In interviews over the years, the Beasties put down the License To Ill era, and seemed embarrased by it. They sort of took on a "save the world" vibe, and the "drunk guys having girls dancing in cages" didn't fit with that I guess.

Wasn't that the real Beasties in the Delorean at the end? I couldn't really tell.

No, the "MCA" in the DeLorean looked like Jack Black to me, but I couldn't make out the other two. The real Beasties are all about the same height and real thin, and the 2 sets here vary in height.

"Make Some Noise" & "Nonstop Disco Powerpack" were the two I liked best from "Hot Sauce Committee II".
