Best Hip Hop Double Album

I know that there are more Double albums in Hip Hop [Jay-Z, Nas, DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince, 8-Ball, Bone-Thugs, Wu-Tang, Yukmouth, Master P, Kurupt, Scarface & any more I forgot about...Sorry. Please feel free to mention them also lol ], but here's my question:

Which is the best out of these 3 classic double albums?

2pac-All Eyez On Me

Notorious B.I.G.-Life After Death

Outkast-Speakerboxxx/The Love Below

All 3 of these are absolute classics imho, but which most do you prefer & why?

If you like, put them in order from 3 to 1..... biggrin

الحيوان النادلة ((((|̲̅̅●̲̅̅|̲̅̅=̲̅̅|̲̅̅●̲̅̅|)))) ...AND THAT'S THE WAY THE "TITTY" MILKS IT!

I'd take Speakerboxxx/The Love Below...Sure All Eyez On Me and Life After Death have their high points, they are bloated with weak filler material.

1. OutKast - Speakerboxxx/The Love Below

2. The Notorious B.I.G. - Life After Death

3. 2Pac - All Eyez On Me

Agreed! I am usually a lover of double albums, but when it comes to hip-hop...I have a harder time with them. Certainly all 3 (OutKast, Pac, Biggie) have released tighter albums and they aren't double LPs. I get so pissed when folks say that Pac's greatest work is All Eyez On Me or Kast's greatest is S/TLB.

All Eyez On Me is one of the best double albums of any genre.

Life After Death has nearly a whole disc of filler on side 2, plus Puffy and Mace feature, so it's not even classic in my book.

Outcast don't figure.

My copy of Cypress Hill's Temple of Boom has a 20+ minute "greatest hits" medley track on a second disc; after Tupac, it's one my favourite double albums.

Lol... temple of boom maybe a double disc, its considered a sungke disc its complete running time is little under an hour. That second disc is a mixtape.

1.Life after Death- Even with it's pop ish moments, B.I.G. kills on each track. It would have cool if Puffy wasn't involved because he was on the record too much and im sure the record would have been flawless without his involvement.

2. Speakerboxx/The Love Below- Speakerboxx was a sleeper for me..and I love Big Boi, but I pressed the skip button too many times with that one. The Love Below was an album that took some getting used to at first, but once it registered it was just ok. Andre 3000 is one of the most clever and witty rappers I know of, but as a singer he does little for me (probably because of all the Prince mimicking). Neither album was unlistenable though.

3. All eyez on me- This record had strong songs no doubt, but it had a forced feel to it...at least to my ears. I cant put my finger on it, but it just seemed like something was missing from that album. Strictly for my N.I.G.G.A.Z., Me against the World, and even 7day Theory (Makaveli) were far superior in my opinion.

Good music makes me happy.

It was recorded in about 2 weeks right after he was released from prison.

Sungke disc? You speaking Japanese? lol

I didn't infer that the second disc was part of the album proper.

Yep. It sounds like that album was just done in a hurry (it was just cut in two weeks), as alot of the cuts have that repetitive G-funk sound that was getting alittle stale by '96. Me Against The World and Makaveli: 7 Day Theory are among his best stuff. Honestly, All Eyez On Me was just a decent collection of songs.
