Which artist shall I get into next? Help wanted! I am looking to get into some new music, want to listen to something fresh. Based on the list of my current favourites (below) can anyone here make any good recommendations?
People I'm already into:
Guns N' Roses (old and new), Aerosmith, Nine Inch Nails, Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, Stone Temple Pilots, New York Dolls, Velvet Revolver, Metallica, Neil Young, The Time / Jesse Johnson, Van Hunt, Foo Fighters, Michael Jackson, Tori Amos, Jimi Hendrix, David Bowie, James Brown, Kate Bush, Sly & The Family Stone, Santana, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds...
Anyone have ideas?

PJ Harvey. (early & late albums, everything is worth a listen).
Bat For Lashes. (her two albums to date are simply magical).

Johnny Thunders : So Alone and L.A.M.F w/The Heartbreakers are on the same level as the Dolls.
Gram Parsons - Grievous Angel : fits the mould of Neil Young's American Stars 'n Bars, only it's better.
Slint - Spiderland
Blind Melon - Soup
Nick Drake
King Crimson - Red or Discipline
Neko Case
Shawn Smith - Let it all Begin
Mark Lanegan - Bubblegum

I know why you're asking. Try new wave and electropop from the 80's, especially early 80's. Depeche Mode, Yaz, Human League, Freez, Eurythmics, Animotion. If you want to add some soul to the mix, SOS Band and Midnight Star. I rediscovered Terence Trent D'Arby last night through a song I didn't know before, If You Let Me Stay, he changed his name though, his voice is AMAZING! I thought he was Stevie Wonder at first when I heard the song, but he's a nice blend of James Brown, Stevie and MJ IMHO. [Edited 6/17/11 0:37am]

If you like rock music, try Deep Purple, the second lineup only.
I recommend the following albums:
1. Deep Purple in Rock 2. Fireball 3. Machine Head 4. Made in Japan (live album)
Try the following songs to see if you like the style of the band:
- Black Night - Smoke on the water - Child In Time - Highway Star - Bloodsucker - Space Truckin

Amazing riffs, great guitar solos, and one of the best rock vocalists ever (Ian Gillan). If you like rock, you'll probably like these guys.

Good point about rock music. You may enjoy Emilie Autumn and Within Temptation. 80's Canadian rock bands like Honeymoon Suite, Platinum Blonde, Loverboy and Glass Tiger.
