Ben Harper-'Diamonds On The Inside'

I've been listening to his new album DIAMONDS ON THE INSIDE and I cant stop!!! I've been a fan for a few years now and I love how consistant he is. Never puts out a bad album. This is no exception. The music is all over the place...there's reggae ('With My Own Two-Hands')...in which the video features The Wailers...there's Zepplin inspired rock ('So High So Low') which is probably Ben's most aggressive song ever...and there's a song called "Bring The Funk" which could've easily been a Prince song back in the early-mid 90's...there's African-flavored hymns, moody ballads, and the catchy title-track ballad...(insipred by Laura Dern)...that could finally break Ben wide open...whatever the outcome...Ben has made another beautiful album that I'll keep in my player for many many months to come!

Any other Ben fans out there??? Your thoughts? Fav songs?

I'm a big big fan of Ben Harper. He's got some real talent. I applaud your tastes.

I'm gonna have 2 pick that up...I have enjoyed his music 4 a bit as well...His live stuff is filled with alot of passion thats heard clearly in his voice. He's one of them cats that brings a really cool hip flava.

The way he plays lap guitar is pretty amazing 2 watch...He should B coming throu 2 a town or city near ya...Worth seeing live. He pretty much has his hardcore following but has yet 2 suffer from crossing over 2 a huge pop crowd etc...he's the type that U want 2 stay small & unchange.

His strong luv 4 Bob Marley is easy 2 see.

I completely agree!!! Though I wish him all the success...he is an artist I like to think of as 'just my' favorite artist...
