I like "Lonely boy" but I really only know him through John Warrens 1990 Japan only album "One heart", which Gold produced, recorded, played most the instruments (including guitar) and mixed (aswell as co-writing some songs on it). Talented man indeed! Shame he became obscure but at least the album he did for John Warren had a decent budget and showed Gold still had something to give artistically.
Its a rare album but I like it alot. Particually the Richard Marx imitation "Hard world" (not on youtube unfortunately).
He was soft rock (or AOR) producing for John and even softer in his heyday LOL
Heres "Rain down on me", which Boston spin off RTZ also recorded around the same time:
Only other thing I know of him is that he co-wrote a Jennifer love Hewitt song called "in another life", so it was cool he still stayed in the music industry albeit behind the scenes.
RIP.
