Gwen Stefani done with solo career

GWEN STEFANI is convinced her days of solo stardom are over, because her career away from NO DOUBT was just a "moment in time" which went on too long.

The rocker took a break from her duties as frontwoman for the Don't Speak hitmakers in 2004 to release her first solo album, Love. Angel. Music. Baby, which was followed by The Sweet Escape in 2006, both of which were platinum sellers.

Stefani recently admitted a new No Doubt album will take a while as her bandmates are all busy, but the star is adamant she has no plans to release any more material without them.

She tells Entertainment Weekly, "That was a moment in time. It went on a little longer than we all thought it would, because it was inspired and you have to go with wherever you're at in that time in your life... everything works out how it should."

The band will announce future plans in a statement on Frid

Fergie has made similar comments...saying that she has no plans for another solo album. She wants to focus solely on Black Eyed Peas.

Good! i mean honestly her solo albums where just ok... they where to poppy imo..

I love her with No Doubt she really rock's! i feel her solo albums where to poppy and had that club music type of appeal that i hate nowadays ;p;

Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

All music is shit music and no music is real- gunsnhalen

Yep. Look at all the female solo artist since then. Lot more competition...gotta have the talent.

screw that. She made quirky songs, and some really good songs too. It's not like she HAS to compete with Rihanna, katy perry, and the whole unoriginal bunch for it to be valid. All she has to do is make good music.

A new No Doubt album would be better, but since the other guys are "busy" I don't see what (besides being a mommy) would be holding her back.

This is great news. Gwen's solo work was nothing but pop crap with no substance at all. Most of it made me cringe. The music from No Doubt rocks and I can't wait for some new stuff from them.

I genuinely liked Love.Angel.Music.Baby but didn't even bother with The Sweet Escape because I hated the singles, I mean that title track shake .

She seems more fashion than music almost now shrug

I hope we get an album or single date on friday. They've been working on a new album for so long now.

I love Gwen's solo career, but I'm pumped for the return of No Doubt.

I actually liked some of her solo stuff, but yeah the No Doubt stuff is better, I don't think anyone is gonna argue otherwise.

wow i didn't realize it's been 5 years since her last solo album. time flies.

i liked her first one, very new wave/dance-pop, but like others have mentioned I was soo turned off by the single on the 2nd album that I didn't really bother with it.

I much prefer No Doubt. Their last album was killer. I hope they go back to something in that same 80's vibe.

I think she is making the right decision by going back to the group thing.

Me to .. she was cool with No Doubt.. even though No Doubt is rather mainstream as well.. I like them but Gwen has always been cool in my book smile
