I feel you on the rest (even Hammer before he got stupid), but those brothas ain't getting on no mix tape of mine cause they suck. And I can't seriously put Force MD's on a Hip Hop tape alongside KRS One, Rakim and Kane. I'm trying to keep the songs in the eighties, if not the artists themselves. Old School, baby!!!

Yes, I remember Spice1, he was prolific in the early 90's. Then just dropped off. He had a nice little tight jam in 92' with "Welcome To The Ghetto". I remember I was at this nice little house party that year and that song came on and everyone was just bobbing their heads to it.

Anyone out there familiar with Street Sounds Electro series?! They were a UK based record company who had some truly brilliant DJs who mixed up old skool electro and hip hop tunes. I converted all my old vinyl to MP3 and this shit still sounds so fresh.

Haven't seen anyone mention Above The Law. I still think their first release in 89 was one of the best of that era. Bringing Together Five Decades of R&B/Funk/Soul/Dance
