British rock group Radiohead announced on June 6 plans to follow up its eighth album, The King of Limbs, with a series of limited-edition 12-inch vinyl records featuring remixes from the album.

The first record, available from XL/Ticker Tape in the UK and tbd Records in North America, in the series is due out on July 4 and will feature Canadian musician Caribou's remix of "Little Boy Blue" and a version of the album's lead single "Lotus Flower" by Canadian R&B and electronic producer Jacques Green.

Both vinyl and digital formats will be available for purchase on the band's website. Details on other remixes in the series have yet to be announced but are expected to drop later this year.

Following the digital release of The King of Limbs in February, the band released a "newspaper album" featuring two 10-inch vinyl records, a CD, several large pieces of artwork, and 625 small pieces of artwork. The newspaper album also comes with a digital version available in two formats, priced at $48 for an MP3 and $53 for a WAV. Orders are available on the band’s website.

On July 1, Radiohead will also perform the new album in its entirety for a special 55-minute BBC broadcast called Radiohead - The King of Limbs: Live From The Basement in high definition. No details are yet available as to whether or not it will be available online.

The King of Limbs has reached the top ten in album charts in 21 countries, including number three in the US and seventh in the UK. The band's last LP, 2007's In Rainbows, reached number one on album charts in five countries, including the UK, the US, and France.
