The Jacksons ~ All Night Dancin'

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

LOVE this song! But this is the only song on Destiny that had to grow on me. I liked it the third time around.

This was the only cut on Destiny that had to grow on me immensely, but I finally loved it. It always sounded like an stepping stone to what Michael was gonna do with "Beat It" on Thriller four years afterward. But "All Night Dancin'" is easily funkier and rockier. music

This is actually the only song I keep skipping on Destiny. The rest of the album is amazing, though. Maybe I should give this more time..

But I agree with the poster that said this sounds like it was recorded live.

time flies.

Yeah it did sound like they cut this one in concert alittle. It's a very energetic performance, with Michael's vocal charisma all on it (the "hey-hey-hey" and "that's how I like it!" lines are spot on)

Someone should release that Destiny concert (or anything else by The Jacksons/J5) on video. They can even sell it on infomercials.

Hmm I'd prefer Triumph tour DVD just because songs from Destiny album are included...plus there's Can U Feel It!!! And releasing Victory tour DVD wouldn't hurt either beg

'Destiny' is my favorite Jacksons album but I always thought of this song as the only filler track on the album boxed

Michael's adult voice really started hit its stride on this album. This song is almost like a precursor to the more refined Get On The Floor.

More like "Beat It" and "Dirty Diana" in my opinion.
