He's playing at the small jazzclub where I usually goes to see my more unknown swedish friends play. Has anyone here seen him play live? How good is he? It's a lot more expensive than what I'm used to pay to go there, so I just want to know if it's worth it.

Really? Its that taking the assocaite artist thing a bit far? Benet has nothing to do with Prince. Using this logic to include him on this site, one would have to include threads about Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee, that guy who played with the LA Raiders, and a bunch of coke dealers.

The moderators should delelte this thread. What the f&*% does Eric Benet have to with Prince? Benet wasn't a band member, engineer, manager, back-up singer, etc. FAIL. smh

Moving to Music: non-Prince forum

Just won two tickets to see Eric Benét in Stockholm tonight!!!!! Will be interesting! LOL!

Eric wasn't bad at all!!!! It was awesome at that small, intimate club. He had an amazing connection with the audience, held hands danced with and sang personally to several of us (yes, I was one of the chosen, LOL). He was ambitious and gave it all for sure. We was all bathing in sweat after a while. Didn't see Mani anywhere. Eric had brought a young, talented and very pretty female singer with him though..

Can imagine what it must be like to see Prince at a small venue like the one yesterday...

I'm so sure Eric can sing, but can he dance? If he can, it's probably as smooth as his grooves. Imagine Eric at the mic...barefoot. Just kidding. Thanks for the report on his show. All the best to Mr. Benet.

Haha! Eric wasn't barefoot but he sure made some sexy moves on stage! Why compare anyone with each other? There are several good musicians out there. Prince may be exceptional, but he sure isn't the only one with true passion and commitment for the music. To me the experience to see an american musician again was amazing! Eric was truely PRESENT all the time! Swedes are pretty distant to each other and that shows in the music too. I'm not saying everyone are like that, but that's the way most people seems to be here. I think it brings down the spirit a noch or two in everything we do.
