Report: Whitney Houston Health Issues

Report: Whitney Houston Diagnosed With Deadly Emphysema

By Kiki Von Glinow Posted Jun 2nd 2011 12:30PM
On the heels of sub par and canceled live performances, Whitney Houston now has a much more serious low to battle -- emphysema. According to the National Enquirer, doctors informed the singer that she is suffering from early stages of the lung disease, an obvious culprit to Houston's poorly received vocal performances, as of late.

"She's developed emphysema -- and her doctors are warning her she'll die a horrible death," a friend of the singer told the Enquirer.

Medical professionals have also told Houston, 47, that if she does not completely kick her smoking habit there is no doubt that the disease will take her life. But Houston isn't so keen on ditching the cigs, and the task of weening the 'I Wanna Dance with Somebody' singer off of her crutch has fallen to 18-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristin -- who, fresh off a stint in rehab, is recovering from her own substance addictions.

In early April, Houston canceled several of her E...tour shows due to a respiratory infection. The tour was initially conceived to promote Houston's 2009 comeback album, 'I Look To You' -- her first album in

Right. Didn't they also report that Aretha was practically making plans for her own funeral late last year?

Whitney Houston's Rep: Emphysema Story Is 'Completely Untrue'

By Kiki Von Glinow Posted Jun 2nd 2011 05:36PM
On the heels of sub par and canceled live performances, Whitney Houston now has a much more serious low to battle on her hands. According to a National Enquirer report, doctors informed the singer that she is suffering from early stages of emphysema, which would be an obvious culprit to Houston's poorly received vocal performances as of late.

"She's developed emphysema -- and her doctors are warning her she'll die a horrible death," a friend of the singer told the Enquirer.

Sound too "horrible" to be true? You guessed right, champ. After staying silent most of the day, Whitney's rep Kristen Foster responded, telling E! News the Enquirer's story is "completely untrue."

According to the sensational story, medical professionals have told Houston, 47, that if she does not completely kick her smoking habit, the disease will take her life.

The tour was initially conceived to promote Houston's 2009 comeback album, 'I Look To You' -- her first album in seven years. We hope that Houston will look to her daughter before she puts herself six feet under.

I think that they were making claims last year that Nippy's health was deteriorating while she was on tour.

I heard that one too. I mean she didn't look like the beauty she was half a decade ago, but she looked great. I didn't see anything wrong with her.

Me either. I believe she has pulled it together somewhat but she still has some things to get over first. And by all means fix that voice of hers. confused I didn't like the excuse she used as to why her voice was so hoarse. She kinda was like "I let God tell me if I can't do it or not". I thought that was kinda stubborn. Right now she seems to be doing well even with all that has went down.

I thought that the comeback was iffy. I just looked at it as something Clive and the powers that be put together to just say "the voice is back". But in the end, it was just flawed. Whitney's voice wasn't coordinated, but her image was strong. It's also clear that they didn't take the time to actually help Whitney strengthen her vocal abilities. The only thing that fueled the whole thing was the Oprah fiasco...

If they are going to lie on her, at least make the story sound believable. With all her problems, cigarettes are the least threatening of them.

Whitney Houston -- 30 Days of Rehab Ain't Enough!

Whitney Houston is voluntarily seeking additional treatment for drug and alcohol addiction ... TMZ has learned -- after completing a 30-day out-patient rehab program earlier this week.

Sources close to Whitney wouldn't elaborate on what the additional treatment entails -- but we're told the singer has hired a round-the-clock life coach to help keep her on track.

We're told Whitney personally decided to seek out treatment over a month ago as part of a longstanding recovery process -- entering the out-patient program completely on her own accord.

As one source put it, "She really wants it this time." So far, no word from Whitney's rep.

Nice that she doesn't have another problem.

Her Bobby Brown/Crack addiction will get her 1st.

Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.
