I like it. I don't think I've ever heard this one. Great pick.

Great tune, Militant. Love me some Scritti Politti and Roger. This single should have done better IMO. As with all of Scritti's mid-eighties tunes, I love David Gamson's keyboard work/arrangements. The really defined the unique sound that Scritti had at that time. I'm a rare admirer of Gamson's production work on Roger's last solo album (Bridging The Gap).

/\ Me too! That's my favorite Roger solo album. What he added gave Roger's songs more versatility than was present on previous albums like "Unlimited!" and "The Many Facets of Roger".

In fact, I feel the tracks he worked on are quite easily the best songs on the album. He worked on "Everybody Get Up", "Take Me Back", "You Should Be Mine", "Emotions" and "Break Through", and those are the exact songs that have always been my favorites from that album even before I knew who David was! The only track that he didn't do on that album that I'd put up there with the rest of them is "Victim of Love". That's 6 of the 10 tracks on the album and the other songs on there don't do much for me.

Gamson is a killer synthman, for me I rate him up there with Prince and David Frank from the The System as my favorite synth players. His production work on Tony LeMans album on Paisley Park was killer too. Wonder what he's up to these days!

Took me 10 years to like this song, but I played it the other day (I bought the single only for the b-side "A World Come Back To Life") and I like it. I can see why it only had medium fanfare as much as returning from their fantastic funk - pop sound on Cupid & Psyche.

Second, I have never heard Bridging The Gap and didnt know they worked together more.

Thank you, my friend kept telling me to buy Boom! There She Was about 7 years ago. I did..played it once and until I played the other side and was very suprised.

Now I really like Boom! My first time seeing the video up there.
