Amazing band.Lead by synth pop keyboard wizard Vince Clarke.

They were ahead of it'sd time.music was electronic

but the vocals were very soulful.

Gwen Stefani based her song Cool on Only You.

And i hear Nobody's Diary on It's a kind of Magic by Queen

Situation has to be the greatest synth riff ever created.

Yeah I enjoy them alongside Depeche Mode and Human League

Anyone else think AEIOU by Freez sounds so similar to Situation? I knew that song when I was younger, but this one later on.

It's to bad they only had a small amount of albums=[ they where a great band!, Alison was one hell of a singer! and Vince Clark the legend himself of course who need's to say more?

I love Situation, Too pieces, Don't Go, Winter Kills, Only You, In My Room

Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

All music is shit music and no music is real- gunsnhalen

I thought I would hate it, but Snoop's part sounds awesome! T-Pain has got to go! But the original is king!

LOL. Actually, heard the song on the radio many years ago. The synths captured me right away. Not to take anything away from this group, but I always thought they were one of those "one hit wonders" of the 80's. I could be wrong about that though.

I knew Don't Go for years and it was sampled, and then this one way after, though it reminded me of another song

and yeah I LOVE that synth hook and the echo affect on it

I caught Alison Moyet on TV a while back and was shocked at how much weight she's lost and how hot she actually looked.

Great voice.

Two thoughts come to mind listening -- 1. Erasure intially sounded so much like Yaz, but brighter, which makes sense; it's Vince Clarke. 2. Adele would sound killer covering any of their songs, but would love to hear her version of "Mr. Blue."
