What Artist Have You Slept On????

You know those artist who you would ignore or never really listen to. Then one day, your bored & decide to give them a listen....Then THEY BLOW YOUR MIND!!!! YOU HAVE TO GET ALL OF THEIR MUSIC!!!

So, What 5 artist did you initially sleep only to fall in love with their music???

My 5 are:

Talking Heads

David Bowie

Little Dragon

The Cure

Tegan & Sara

Actually, feel free to post as many artist as you want!!!! Forget my "5" rule [no one on this site follows rules anyway] biggrin

What sort of thing would bowl you over?

Just kidding. There's just so much good music to discover that you're bound to miss some stuff.

I got into Genesis only a few years ago. I thought it was just some sort of a backing band for Phil Collins for a very long time. I was really surprised that a lot of the 1970s material sounded like Bowie or Roxy Music, just with longer prog sections.

Interesting you would bring up the whole prog rock scene. Are you into Traffic? I just got their entire discography not long ago after having sloughed them off for years.

Saint Etienne

I heard their cover of "Only Love Can Break Your Heart" when it was first released and didn't care much for it. It wasn't until a friend force fed me the Finisterre album ten years later that I finally bought their entire back catalog. Twice.

WOW, your lists are pretty impressive eek

I can't even remotely keep up with that, no big stars for me at all, just a couple of background singers and keybord playing pretty hot MILF from a local band, nothing else

oh sorry... I misread that as "What Artist Have You Slept With"

The Compromise Theory:
Based on my analysis, I believe the government faked the plane crash and demolished the WTC North Tower with explosives.
The South Tower, in a simultaneous but unrelated plot was brought down by actual terrorists.
Is it a deal?
