I like them and need to listen to them more. And Gwen solo was good too.

This album had cool singles, but in my opinion, their creative peak was with the albums that followed

excited

"Well, things can be broken down, in this world of Oz/ You don't have to be a famous person, just to make a mark/ A mother can be an inspiration, to her little son/ Could change his thoughts, his mind, his life, with just a simple hug."

Love.

My favorite track off their debut album! It sounds almost a sgt peppers moment to me, Gwen's vocals are just so good on this song.

My favorite song of their's will always be "Simple Kind Of LIfe". Can't wait for their new stuff to come out!

"Tragic Kingdom" is a good song, but "The Climb" has always been my favorite from that album.

This one takes me back to my early teens. At the time I actually was not into it. The bands I was listening to at the time was Black Flag, GBH, The Germs, and other old school punk. Later though I really embraced this disc. Great Music.

I have this album on my ipod

I like Excuse me Mr, Spiderwebs, and Don't Speak the most. The other songs are good too, but those three are my favorites.

Yep only no doubt song she wrote on her own, which is crazy to me cuz it is so well written. I adore everything about it.

She wrote that about her relationship with husband Gavin Rossdale.

^ Relationships seems to bring out the best in her writing skills. Just like with Dont Speak about Tony Kanal. Even though her brother helped with that one. Fantastic songs.

I think Gwen and Eric wrote "Don't Speak" back in '89 or something. I think Gwen re-wrote it after she and Tony broke up and they recorded this in '93 but of course label politics kept them from releasing Tragic Kingdom for another two years.

Yeah plus there were, I believe, two different versions of the songs prior to the one released. The first one was punk-influenced, then the second had a more ska-punk/reggae feel, before deciding on the more pop style production.

Yeah alot of No Doubt's best songs are about Tony or Gavin:

Tony:

Don't Speak, Sunday Morning, Happy Now (Cool from Gwen's solo career)

Gavin:

New, Ex-Girlfriend, Simple Kind Of Life, Underneath It All, Running

---

But really, Simple Kind Of Life being about wanting to start a family with this man, and not knowing if it will/can happen makes it such a captivating love song.

"You seem like, you'd be a good dad" always makes me smile.
