I'm so happy to be alive today but I have to give props to all those soldiers who gave their lives for our freedom, whether they fought in Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam, Nazi Germany, Iwo Jima, the western front in the border area of France and Germany, Gettysburg, Yorktown, or Bunker Hill. Let's remember that this holiday is dedicated to them and not just for barbecues, picnics, shopping, and seeing blockbuster Hollywood movies.
