I would have also posted the live version that Elvis Costello released on the Rhino Punch the Clock reissue but I wasn't able to find it.

I had never heard the Color Me Badd version. Shockingly, the arrangement is pretty good but the vocals are not to my taste.

I noticed the Originals version I'm playing now sounds alternate to the "popular" version. Of course Marvin's all over the track with the background vocals. Just hear closely. wink

That's because Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis produced it.

Yup, I'll go for The Originals too.

I am cause Color Me Badd's version is not even in the same ballpark when compared to The Originals.
