Cee Lo is more than Gnarls Barkley you are prime example for the ones that dont know better

Nick Ashford was someone I greatly admired, had the honor of knowing, and was the real-life inspiration for Cowboy Curtis' hair. RIP Nick. - Pee Wee Herman

the original version wrote and produced by Cee Lo, “A lot of people don’t know I wrote and produced ‘Don’t ‘Cha’ by the Pussycat Dolls,” Cee-Lo explained during his performance for VH1’s “Storytellers” series. “I originally wrote that song for an artist that was up under me at the time--Tori Alamaze. She did the original version of the song, and it was great. I gotta say in all honesty, she wasn’t the ‘Don’t ‘Cha’ girl.”

I think he's a solid act. Not feeling his latest album but considering his work with Goodie Mob, Gnarls Barkley, as a solo act, and his collabos, he's got a good all-around body of work.

nod Pretty much!

Um....is he a little person? Like a dwarf? He is small in stature and quite disproportionate with regard to his limbs. He looks like a fat midge.

I'M NOT SAYING YOU'RE UGLY. YOU JUST HAVE BAD LUCK WHEN IT COMES TO MIRRORS AND SUNLIGHT!

I always thought Jazze Pha was the popular old school R&B artist Deniece Willaims son. But its been a misunderstanding his mother name is Denise Williams but there two entirely different people..

Yeah that was a bit of a mix up from a few media outlets. He does have a famous parent.

His dad is bassist James Alexander of the BarKays who has backed most of the Stax artists and

layed bass licks on the epic Shaft album.

Cee-Lo just got into him when I heard "Crazy". I recognized him from Goody Mob. But kind of missed him in it. But his voice is so soulful & he sings so effortless beautifully. He is my favorite new artist vocalist even though he is not new. I'm really diggin him now. I also like his eccentric side. Kind of like a black Liberace.......

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I was going to say it goes back to Afrika Bambataa, Grandmaster Flash and Furious Five, Melle Mel, Whodini, and a lot of those groups.

I was talking about with Cee-Lo. All of them were dressing in regular clothes until Andre started. Whodini didn't dress flamboyantly. Really it was Sun Ra. Without him and the Arkestra, those acts you named plus Earth Wind & Fire, Funkadelic, David Bowie, etc. would have looked differently.

I thought you were talking about flamboyance in hip-hop, which is why I cited hip-hop artists only.

And . . . I dunno . . . by modern hip-hop standards, overall, this is flamboyant in comparison.

nod Correct. James Alexander is also one of the original BarKays members who could had been fatally killed on the plane crash with Otis Redding and the bulk of the original BarKays members had it not been his turn to take a commercial flight that fateful day in Dec. 1967. Furthermore, Jazze Pha is named after his father's best friend, Phalon Jones, who perished in the crash.
