We do NOT want to hi-jack this thread to discussing the borderline bestiality between Scooby & his Shaggy!
Hey, Scooby had a tongue that would put Gene Simmons to shame. Just look at how he wrapped it all around his own head getting that cream off. I bet that long sandpaper tongue had Shaggy climbin' the walls.

I ain't felt this way in years...
I never ever understood why there was bad blood between Shaggy and Janet due to her ignoring him when it came to release and promotion of 'Luv Me Luv Me'. Mainly because a few years later she was active in doing a video and promotion for that dreadful 'Feel It Boy' with Beenie Man - a homophobic twat.
Was it just because when 'Luv Me Luv Me' was recorded, the Pop/Reggae style wasn't the big thing at the time, but then and the bandwagon jumping came in the early 2000s when it blew up again.
I'm pretty sure Janet was in Beenie's video because of being labelmates, and then regretting it later after fans protested it because of his homophobic lyrics. Luv Me Luv Me sounds more r&b/hip hop than reggae to me, the beat reminds me of many 90's songs including Janet's own music.
Shaggy, no one cares, this isn't 2001 and Sean Paul took your place years ago.
Heh. I'm sure it was big, but It Wasnt Me didn't register on my radar as a hit. Boombastic was the song I knew him for years ago. But I always thought he was pop reggae anyway?
I don't know the genre well. For me the original was...Shabba!

For the international market he adds more pop, for the caribbean one less. [Edited 5/31/11 8:47am]

"It wasn't me" is one of my fave songs ever. And I still refer to it when discussing boys with my girlfriends. It's hillarious.
I dig him. I love his voice, his fun and his music. He's great. Saw him perform in Amsterdam and the concert was a blast. I'm looking forward to his new album.

"Luv Me Luv Me" was a Jam and Lewis creation. Shaggy should just be happy he was able 2 do a song with Janet and leae it at that.
Did Damon Wayans complain when Janet and Luther didn't do the video for "The Best Things In Life Are Free?" I don't think they did. They created the video with the stars of the movie and it turned out ok.

I think he was just pop.

yeah, I remember jimmy & terry doing the music for the "stella" soundtrack
Seems like he is madder at Jimmy and Terry than Janet. Did they promise she would appear in the video? If he is pissed at Janet, it is NOT for the right reasons.
That was NOT a Janet record. It was a Jimmy and Terry record, and Janet did that little sample as a favor (she has done a lot half hearted collbos like this and most often, they are good....but they hardly Janet songs...the additon of some on "Number Ones" is interesting but a bit strange).
As far as not appearing in Shaggy's video becuase he is a shit regaee artist....she appeared a few years later in "Feel It Boy". And even though that was a VERY half hearted video appearance (she is laying on the beach or set for most of it), it was a more interesting song.
