I Can't Sleep (If I) - R. Kelly

I know R. Kelly gets bad rap round here, including from me the bastid...but he's made a couple good jams.

I useld to LOVE this song..thought it was underrated and didnt see it on tv much.

Reminds me of Junior High nod

Ur thoughts?

That entire album was flawless. His last album gives me hope he's returning to that sound. I hate his hip-hop numbers. And no more trying to do those hip-hoperas. This is why he was the king of '90s R&B.

Love the song, though I always felt an uneasiness that this may have been about Aaliyah in regards to their personal/professional split.

I'd love to get a hold of his unreleased joints from 92-95 including all his demos he did for Aaliyah's debut

Neh, not feeling this cut or anything from R. back then. And that "Love Letter" song sounds like something he did from the Loveland/ Chocolate Factory era, which is th only era from him i could tolerate, actually.

I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!

I LOVE this song! I was crazy about it, but then I believe I can fly came out shortly after it and overshadowed it's success on the charts. I had forgotten about this song until I heard it on WBLK in Buffalo during a trip a few months ago. We used to get that radio station years ago, but not anymore, so it took me back. That self-titled album is great.

Yeah I dig it although it follows the exact same chord structure as "soon as I get home" from Babyface in the chorus...try to sing it. lol

It also reminds me of Toni Braxton's I Don't Want To written by him at about the same time.
