I just feel differently. i recognize talent as an individual thing. To me she can sing and she can dance, she and Janet have different dancing styles, Mariah and Beyonce have different vocal styles, everyone is unique. Beyonce can sing AND dance, she has mastered performing, but her songs are what's messing her up.

I love how people like you go in on threads about certain artists slam on them and then try to cover it up with that "oh, I didn't say I don't like Beyonce I'm just sharing my feelings on her music." bullshit and then try to get all buddy buddy with the other folks who thinks just like you so they can try and back up your irrelevent tom foolery.

I can appreciate a difference of opinion or agree to disagree with someone but when people come on these threads just throwing in their opinions just to make a senseless debate about something someone can agree to disagree on it's annoying. Oh and you claim you don't have the time or energy to hate on someone but you're on the org {you have time for that} you called yourself answering a question that wasn't even addressed to you {you had time and enery for that} and keep coming back to a thread created about an artist you obviously don't have a liking for but you don't have the time or energy....right!

That should shut this thread down. I hate when people say, well she's not as great as Whitney, Mariah, and whoever else they want to name so she's a "decent" singer who is overrated. But I know people would say it of Whitney and Mariah. Bey has the vocal performance Grammys to back it up. So if others aren't impressed by what Bey does, that's on them.

That's how I feel!! I've been astounded by the level of Beyonce bashing I've witnessed on the Org since I started visiting this site 3 months ago. I've mainly tried to keep quiet about it.... But, I simply don't get it. As far as young, international Pop stars go I think she's the most talented one out there and has raised the bar real high----Sure, there could be an unsigned vocal/dancing Goddess tearing it up in their hometown that no one knows about except the locals... but, I'm talking about prominent, major artists. She is VERY skilled, talented and works really hard. How can anyone seriously deny that? Who else is out there on Beyonce's level right now? I like Adele too, but she has a totally different thing going on--singer/songwriter, blue-eyed soul singer that normally performs standing in one spot. That's a whole nuther scene. Not sure why she was even bought up aside from people just throwing their personal favorite (but totally unrelated) artists into the mix.

Someone made comments about Beyonce having vocal training, as if that's some sort of bad thing. I don't know if she had training or not, but if she has spent time with Seth Riggs or Brett Manning (as Stevie, MJ and Luther have) then she will just continue to get even more amazing and still have her voice 20 years from now (unlike some others).

I'm no crazed Beyonce fan... I only own one CD, heard some radio singles and I'm friends with 2 members of her touring band. All this is just my opinion... but, I'm confident enough in my ability to recognize talent when I see and hear it.

I know this wasn't directed to me, I totally agree with you she is a great talent and is the better artist among those of her generation that can really put on a show. I like a lot of her songs and own 2 albms, as well as a few destiny's child albums, but I really do not agree with her buying her fame and getting egotistical awards made up for her at this stage in her career. I would have been so happy for her getting artist of the deacde at the Billboards, cause I supported her albums and tours, but this is like a big slap in the face to people who had to break barriers to deserve a title like that, I don't understand what barriers she broke. I know she's a role model and hard worker and that's why I like her, but I don't agree with all the hype either.
