Especially that last scene when Esai Morales is standing on that bridge, looks up to the sky with tears in his eyes, and screams... "RITCHIE!!!!".

Would love to have heard what Ritchie Valens would have recorded had he have lived.

My favorite is when Esai lifts his shirt up to show a bag of weed he has hidden in the top of his pants. You can see the waistband of his white briefs and a treasure trail of hair leading down into his underwear. It gets my dick hard every time I see it. I have zoomed my DVD in as close as I can get it and have actually had to relieve myself a time or two. lol

The first time I saw the movie was right after I joined the org in 2004. I was sitting at home bored and was watching the Movieplex channel and that movie came on. I saw the opening scene with the little boys playing basketball in a schoolyard and a plane crashing and I was getting ready to turn the channel when the next scene came on with the opening credits. It was a good looking man riding a motorcyle. The movie still didn't look too interesting to me yet but I put the remote control down for a moment so I could check that guy out. When he got off the motorcycle and took those shades off, I was floored by his looks. I absolutely couldn't take my eyes off him for the entire movie. That was the hottest man I had seen in ages. As I kept watching his good looks, I started noticing that the storyline was very interesting also. But yes, it was Esai's gorgeous looks that stopped me from getting up to turn the channel which eventually led me to love the movie itself for the storyline.

When the movie was over, I did an internet search and found out the name of the actor that played the brother. He was one of my first avatars and I have had various avatars of him throughout the years. Dammitt, that's a hot man. Just thinking about him makes me drip. lol

I bought the DVD of "LaBamba" and I like listening to the commentary with the director, Esai, and the guy that played Richie (I can't think of his name right now). There's a scene where Esai's character comes driving up on a motorcyle one night right after he met his girlfriend and he leans over his motorcycle and kisses her. In the commentary Esai said...."Prince was real big that year".... lol He did resemble Prince a little in that movie. I kept thinking to myself, I bet this is what Prince would look like if he was straight. evillol

Lou Diamond Phillips, and I always thought he was an awful choice to play Richie Valens. Not only because he wasn't Mexican (neither is Esai Morales), but because in my opinion Richie Valens was a rather handsome guy, and Lou Diamond Phillips never fit that description (...again, in my opinion).

He looks nothing like Richie but he played the hell out of that role though. Some of the extras in the DVD have some footage of the family and the family had a lot of input in the movie because they considered Richie to be a saint and they didn't want anything to tarnish his image. Lou definately played his sainthood to the tee.

As for Esai playing Bob, the family said that Esai IS Bob and that no one else could have played him better. They were extremely pleased with the choice of Esai playing him as well as his performance. There is also a behind the scenes shot of Esai standing up next to the real Bob. I don't see the resemble, of course Bob was old, but I just don't see the resemblance. He looks like he could have been a lady killer back in his day though. Lou said that when the real Bob came onto the set, that all the ladies went wild over him even though he was an older man. Lou described him as "Liquid Sex" and said that Esai played him perfectly. Well, hell, Esai is liquid sex his damn self. lol

Oh, I know that's one of them sissy ass looking Chippendales. barf I posted it because of the headline at the bottom of the magazine..."Get Into Bed With Esai Morales". That headline just turns me on. lol I guarantee you it ain't nothing but an interview though. They used to do that to sell magazines and then you get it home and you don't see a damn thing. lol

Even the celebrities that did do nudes made sure their dick wasn't exposed (with Jim Brown, Warren Cucurillo and Peter Steele being the obvious exceptions). lol

There was a rumor going on in the 1980s that Playgirl wanted The Fat Boys to pose nude. Now, who in the hell would want to see that?! lol

Except for Prince Markie Dee probably because technically he was the least fat member of the group. lol

I agree. That movie is such a tear-jerker, I can hardly stand to watch it. Great job by the entire cast. And "Sleepwalk" by Santo & Johnny was PERFECT for the soundtrack, particularly that last scene.

Yes, it's definately a tear jerker. I still love to watch it though because it brings out liquid from both ends of my body. lol

Oh, I ain't lying honey, that man turns me on that much. I know about a year or two later after I saw "LaBamba" I was watching TV Land and they were running a "Miami Vice" marathon and Esai was in one of the episodes. At the end of the show, it turned out that his character was gay. Just the thought that I could actually stand a chance at getting that dick, I almost came in my pants. lol
