Bob Dylan turns 70 today

Happy birthday to folk legend and poet Bob Dylan. He was the voice of the counter-culture of the early sixties. The civil rights movement inspired him to write classics Blowin in the Wind and These Times are a Changin. Undeniably his music of social injustice changed pop music. Wasnt he credited for the Beatles Rubber Soul and subsequent albums? I believe he inadvertently inspired Marvin Gay Stevie Wonder Bono Bruce Springsteen to name a few.

He is an icon because he redefined what pop music could. What's your opinion on his impact?
