Excuse me for being old-fashioned, but Gaga would have NEVER qualify to appear on Video Soul with Donnie Simpson back in the days when BET had more credibility.

She may not be a hoodrat, but I'd be willing to wager that Lady Gaga has more street cred than Katy Perry and The Spice Girls. Besides, as was mentioned above, she's not the only dance-pop artist to have appeared on there. Besides, I, personally, know lots of black folks who dig Gaga. The video I posted, as well as her songs with Beyonce, show that she's open to non-pop type collabos. Now, if Garth Brooks appeared on 106 and Park, then I'd say WTF?
