B. Slade - FREAK U GOOD -

Does Anyone has more information about this song, will it be on DIESEL?

C'mon FUZION, you know it ... And what about this song 'RING DING DING' or sth. like that

at the beginning of the OutMusic Award-Show 2011, is that BSLADE? These song drives me crazy,

I would love to hear them in full and in better quality ...

Any feedback highly recommanded.

Thank's a lot for posting the official tracklisting of DIESEL, now I can calm down ...

Didnt know that you got your own website, great! biggrin

Regarding 'Ring Ding Ding' it's playing in the backround of the Outmusic-Award Show with

Bslade hosted by Soniceclectic (on Youtube). I could have sweared that it's Bslade, but if

U dont know this track, it's probably not ... confused

Right now I cant stop listening to your 1814 Mix of BSFF! - It's fantastic! lol

Oh, NOW I know what you're talking about. I have no idea who that was, but it wasn't B.Slade.

And thank you for the compliment.

You're gonna REALLY dig "Diesel". I'm hoping others will, too.

THANK'S for coming back.

Looking very forward to "DIESEL". New output from Tonex/B.Slade always is like Christmas to me, a celebration! Will be one of the first on the purchase-list, for sure ....

Hope it will include some of your incredible remix talent as well. And if not on the inital release, maybe later on, like you did "HOME" and "BSFF".

Your very own single "U" deserves some recognition, too ... It's a great tune! wink

Thank you. That one was for wifey. She dared me to write a song for her in 30 minutes because I had writer's block... by the time she came back from getting take out, I was almost done recording it. Honestly, though, It was really a reference track for someone else. I'm really not comfortable as an artist. More of a songwriter/producer, etc.

The song ended up being optioned by a few artists like Ralph Tresvant of New Edition for a shelved solo project, and a few others. I just keep it online for shopping purposes.

I wasn't expecting any of my remixes to end up on the projects they ended up on. That entire "ABC" project was very important to me because I saw a lot happen within that time frame.

I did have so much fun doing the "Wallflower" remix, though.

Wait until you hear the "Freak U Good" remix.

Thank you for the kind words, though.

I will relay your excitement to Mr. Slade. smile

overhere going crazy when you lik that tune in the clubs. Should be massive, really .......

Cant wait to hear the "Freak U Good" experience.

Should I ever decide to do an album, you're in for production! wink

I know it was releaesed in 2009 but I just bought Tonex's "Unspoken" disc yesterday. The opening track is funky, even though it sounds like he was chasing a Beyonce vibe. I need to listen to the disc some more maybe, but after 2 listens it seems like its lacking in melody.

Blend is a cool song though. music

My favorite off that album is "Love Me 4 Me". The vocal arrangement kills me.

It was marketed as an "R&B mainstream album" and was mainly made up of tracks that he'd recorded during the 4 year (label) hiatus since "Out The Box". If there's any album I believe is a MUST purchase, outside of "Diesel", it's probably "Stereotype", the album that had 2 release dates over the years and then was scrapped by the label for not being "Gospel' enough, even though he didn't like being labeled as a Gospel artist to begin with. "Stereotype" has a quite a few songs that are amazing, but if I had to pick one that non-listeners of his music pretty much go nuts over, it's my favorite, "All That I Am".

Yep, that's a good track also.

And LOL at the label(s) and Tonex. lol Is he strictly independent now? Or is he still trying to work with the majors? And if so, why? confuse They've done nothing for him but stifle his creativity as far as I'm concerned. Well that and maybe provide a marketing resource.

you have to remember that the majority of his career, his labels were Gospel-based who ad issues with him from DAY ONE (as the entire industry did) until he pretty much watered it down with "Out The Box". I think that if he does sign with any label in the future, it will be under his own creative terms, with them providing distribution.

There's plenty of melody on "UNSPOKEN", hart to mention any faves here, mine would probably be "GLOREX". beautifully sang in Falcetto (love it!!) and of course "FACE DOWN".

Great artwork by the way.

Get yourself ready for "DIESEL" released on July 19.!

If his wikipedia page is accurate, as well as the numerous threada baout him over the years here on the org, then it seems he has enjoyed releasing most of his output independently anyway. So why does he keep wanting to deal with the majors, other than for marketing which to me would make sense?
