For some reason they just don’t spark any interest for me I never bothered to really listen to them.

Why is there no love for Biggie or Lil Kim up in here. And no love for Tupac or Busta Rhymes?

I'd throw in De La Soul and PM Dawn and Tribe Called Quest into the mix for consideration as well. "I'm not human I'm a dove, I'm ur conscience. I am love"

MICHAEL JACKSON: Always and Forever ----- Live Your Life How U Wanna Live It

I'd add Camp Lo there too.
And someone said Mobb Deep.
My mind's blank on anyone else considering duos and Salt & Pepa were a trio anyways.

I kind of put duo’s in the group section even though I know people like to be proper and break it into Duo and Group separately lol it’s all the same thing to me

Goodie Mob can be included and WHO CAN FORGET Bone Thugs & Harmony.
Doing it just in case the B.O.N.E. fan shows up later (I know she will). Gotta add her boys because they earn the "best" tag. [Edited 5/19/11 20:37pm]

Yes, Camp Lo. And Tribe both outrank Outkast for me. Though there are some songs I enjoy by Outkast, they don't have an album I will listen to from front to back. [Edited 5/19/11 17:43pm]

By the way i just posted Duo's, Groups need's a whole other thread, Timmy's list is like the perfect cliche list to be honest.
Good call LBC on UGK totally forgot about them.
Junior mafia (Lil Cease??), LOL, I'd go for a 90's outlawz then or the Firm

I believe Eric B. and Rakim were considered a duo - although Eric didn't rap. In my opinion since Rakim is the greatest rapper of all time, they were the greatest duo of all time.

Good choices but Digital Underground?, i don't find any of there albums to be as good as Outkast's output in my opinion. May i ask what it is about them? Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener
All music is shit music and no music is real- gunsnhalen Datdonkeydick- Asherfierce Gary Hunts Album Isn't That Good- Soulalive

Oh I didn't know she's a girl. I'm not good with gender specifics in message boards. But my apologies anyway. [Edited 5/19/11 20:37pm]

OutKast in the Top 5? Yes. But #1? No, because that is actually Public Enemy.

No apologies necessary. You recognized the love for that Bone...Bone...Bone...Bone! And that's good enough! I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

I paid little attention to 1990's hip hop, unless you count dance rap like C+C Music Factory, 2 Unlimited, Technotronic, or Gerardo. I like 2 or 3 Busta songs, but I didn't like Tupac & Biggie at all. I liked California Love, but that was only because Roger Troutman was on it. I don't think I've heard a Lil Kim song before. I did like Digable Planets, PM Dawn, and a group called the Boogiemonsters. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton
