has Soldier of Love grown on you? (the album)

Im 2/3 way through one of my first spin of this one in ages...I was sooo excited for this one then it came out...and meh...but today it's sounding GOOD. Killer or mostly filler for you, now that it's over a year old?

I loved "Lovers Rock" almost instantly...

since i've gone back and discovered her other works they have all hit me harder the first time than this one did...

I'll leave it alone babe...just be me

Ever since her concert last weekend, all the new songs that I hadn't like that much before are growin on me real fast. I am beginning to really love them. I am addicted to Sade since the concert. She made me love her music even more.

I thought Sade was a band. razz

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I feel the same way. After I see her show, I might change my mind and like it better.

That happens from time-to-time with me.

not really. I thought the title-track was amazing, and it's still in my rotation, but the rest of the album - while nice - didn't really do much for me.

Not yet. Maybe after I see them in June I'll get a different feeling from the songs.......

As an album, it doesn't get many spins in my rep of music. But some tracks warrant replays every now and then.

I love the cd. I think it's as good as her previous work. I still listen to it regularly.

I completely agree! Babyfather is corny and I loathe when celebrities put their untalented children on their records.

yeahthat

I purchased the CD when it was released and I loved it right away. I had to take the CD out of my truck for a while because I kept it on constant repeat and it was driving my passengers crazy lol After listening to it I got in the mood and just listened to her; purchasing missing albums and CD's to add to my Sade collection. It's complete now. biggrin
