Do You Think Thriller Will Be Surpassed?

Sales wise? i think it could happen honestly, yes with digital downloads and everything it seem's record sales are going down but hey i still think it could happen!

Do you think anyone will have more number 1's? imagine if some had like seven number ones that would be insane!!1

But this question is just for fun so please none of that usual MJ craziness in here lol

Nope. It's still selling by the thousands worldwide on a weekly basis (don't ask how/why). Gotta wonder who doesn't own a copy of "Thriller". It's like a piece of damn furniture! lol

Someone, I think J. Randy Taraborelli said it, at one point "Thriller" ceased to become just another music album, it was like a souvenir or something you JUST have to have in your house. People didn't think (and STILL don't think) you wasn't shit if you hadn't least bought a copy of it or even bootleged it. lol

Never. The perfect storm that was Michael Jackson's Thriller will never be duplicated, let alone surpassed.

Unholyalliance

It's almost took 30 years for Thriller to sell about 60-70 million copies and this was when buying albums was at its peak. Also, it is selling copies to this day. That is going to be a huge feat to overcome, especially with how niche markets seem to be exceling in this day and age.

Besides, how accurate are record sales anyways?

Of course not.

Even if someone came along and created a full record just that great, no one cares about albums anymore, so it wouldn't sell.

In album sales - no.

In quality of the music - it already has, many times.

The Eagles record label are gonna make sure that doesn't happen. razz
