I know the photographer was probably going for edgy, but for some reason it just looks stank.

Honey, stop talking and just create the music.

She looks stunning, as usual. It's hard for her to take a bad picture with that bone structure of hers. biggrin

Beyonce, do you thang girl! But, just know that anytime you pose with you arms up while topless or virtually topless, it's been done before (ahem-Janet-ahem). It's the same lesson Britney should have learned when her new CD dropped.

To me Beyonce seems to be going down that road where she is going to try to be more risque to try to stay on top.

Reinvention is important in the pop music genre but Beyonce does not have much versaility to really try to do the full scope reinvention.

She has been doing the same booty shaking routine the last 10 years.

These girls like Lady Gaga, Rihanna are steamrolling her and from the way those two are in a reinvetion sense they are making her look like old timer.

Gaga and Rihanna are definitely not above being risque ("Judas" was one of the first times she wasn't showin' her hoo haa; Rihanna's latest single is aptly named "S&M"), and one could argue that they use the same formula over and over, but they seem to have particular "eras" that are more defined and numerous (RiRi's GGGB, RR eras; Gaga's Fame and Fame Monster--even though one is a continuation of the other, they're quite different).

Honey, stop talking and just create the music.

Ok I get that she's trying to keep up with times and all, but does it have to be so obvious? Honestly, she'd be better off sticking to the persona she's developed over the years. She doesn't need updating.

Image-wise, she's suffering from the same thing Mariah has been suffering from for years...the inability to be a chameleon. She has the same look year after year, and it becomes old after a while.

Yes but they have a style to it Rihanna and Gaga are kind of cut from the same cloth in a sense that they try to be freakazoids to stay on top.

We are in a freakazoid era of music where everybody wants to be glam artists.

Beyonce on the other hand is basically herself she is not really a gimmick which is why she is probably trying to be risque. Beyonce is talented enough where she does not need to do that but with her trying to appeal to the constant changing mainstream crowd.

I am telling Celine Dion how does she do it

I think Mariah did it to herself whereas Beyonce is actually suffering from that.

Mariah Carey is loved enough for her actual talent where she did not have to do that kind of stuff. She decided to do it because she was in love with hip hop and abandoned her true talented self to try to be Miss Hip Hop Queen.

If Mariah were to walk on the stage with a long dress and sing like she used to sing back in 1990 she would be on top again. People love that Mariah not sexbot Mariah.

Beyonce on the other hand has made her appeal based on selling her looks whereas Mariah did not.
