AWARDS DONT MEAN ISH FOLKS...and you dont have to acccept EVERYTHING someone throws at you because in todays industry MOST of the time it is just FOR RATINGS. Which is why Aretha didnt accept this.. I dont blame her!!! When is the last time they properly tributed this legendary woman?

I personally have mixed thoughts about how legit this is or if she really declined it, but again, I wouldn't be surprised. I'm 110% certain that ReRe isn't gonna do it simply because BET and every other ceremony that has a tribute for her just drops the ball. IT'S ETCHED IN STONE!

There have been no statements made from BET or its correspondents as of yet. Now if they want to think outside the box then re-do your nominations a bit, honor a bunch of legends that BET has forgotten, i mean they have given less praise to legends on that show then the dudes that Built CITI field here in NYC gave the Mets and it was there stadium, instead you had all these statues for the Brooklyn Dodgers and Jackie Robinson in a METS stadium? there was no attempt to look back, and BET is carrying on that tradiition.
