I still haven't heard it biggrin

I'm gonna wait and listen to it properly: I don't wanna rush things and give the album a 4/10 when I know it deserves a 8/10...

Me too but I'm in a bit of a pickle. I pre-ordered the album from amazon but Canada Post is almost certainly going to go on strike next week. Ordinarily I would probably receive the album 2-3 days after the release date but it looks like it could be 2-3 weeks. bawl

Not only am I going to miss hearing the album for a few weeks but as a non union Canada Post employee I am going to be out a few weeks pay! I'm not too concerned about the money but I need my Gaga!

aww, that sucks, hope it's not 3 friggin' weeks!

Good for you. lol Let us know what you think of it after May 24 lol smile

you know, this is kind of exciting, waiting in the dark while millions have already known the truth, lol . ...can't wait to May 24

Wonder what millions that could be... in favor or against lol I'm in the middle. Some songs I can fuck with and some I can do without and some that needed improvement before making the final tracklist.

I'm a tight motherfucker with a buck and have decent savings so money shouldn't be a problem (unless it is a long strike) but I am going to go a bit nuts waiting for the album. Tom Petty was right, the waiting is the hardest part. lol

The album has filler but the good songs are good and the meh songs are meh it’s better than the fame imo I’m satisfied but she can do better it’s not terrible though. There were songs that could be cut out it would have made for a shorter album but it could have been flawless. Everyone seems to have different favorites that I’ve seen so I guess it depends on what songs you like.

Better than The Fame? That was a pretty great album as far as I'm concerned so if Born This Way is of similar quality I'll be happy.

Any other "professional" reviews yet? Seems like this is the thread to post them in.

^Are you purposefully waiting until you get a physical CD in your hands?

I admire that. I wish I had that kind of willpower.

So are you also steering clear of reading about the tracks, or are you happy to read other folks views?

I don't mind reading other people's opinions as long as they have valid points for why they like/dislike a certain song. People who just hate Gaga for the sake of hating Gaga I could give less of a fuck about.

Two days excited

"Lady Gaga tries to make herself the queen of gay rights, but comes across as someone who is exploiting gays rather than helping them."

This always has been a problem for me with artists like Gaga, Kylie etc. I always ask myself the question, why are they concerned about gayrights, if they are not gay themselve?

I really want to believe they are sincere about their message, but what the reviewer is saying goes through my mind frequently.

''why are they concerned about gayrights, if they are not gay themselve?''

Is that honestly a question for you? Do you not care about other race's rights because you're not that race?

that aside I agree that Gaga exploits them. she used to constantly update twitter with pro-gay tweets to an almost autistic repetition,as if homosexuals were having a hard time trusting her or had amnesia.

and that alejandro video was paved with steryotypical gay guys flouncing about.

You wouldn't have seen a bob dylan video in the 60's with a bunch of black people jumping about with bones in thier noses as evident of how pro-civil rights he is

Pathetic review anyway

this is not a review, this is just vitriol. This imbecile is just sayin' that GaGa has written 17 ripoffs, and that's bullshit. If GaGa uses a sax, she's ripping the E Street off; if she does an upbeat rock number, she's just ripping Cher off; if she writes about AIDS, she's just ripping "In This Life" off... OH, C'MON SHUT YOUR FILTHY MOUTH ALREADY, SIR mad rolleyes

I truly want this album to CONQUER the world, even if it's only average", just to make this "critics" suffer. And, the way I see it, this album is still BETTER than any other mainstream pop album released during 2010 and 2011 (so far)...

suddenly, I support GaGa 100%, the lady doesn't deserve this vitriol... I'M GONNA BUY THE ALBUM

It may be the best 'pop' album of the year, which isn't saying much

But for her to say 'best album of the decade' is nothing but pretentious bullshit

What, she's not gay enough for you? LOL. Her love life isn't anyone's business, but the fact we know she identifies as bisexual is reason enough.

LOL! She's not gay to me at all.

When somebody is bisexual, all of a sudden her love life isn't anyone's business. wink

It's exactley my point, she identifies herself as bisexual, but does she show it? Did she have realatonships with women?

why should someone force themselves to be in a relationship to prove a point to you?

I'm bisexual and I'm single

so basically all bi-sexuals that aren't in a homosexual relationship are liars?

Did anyone catch Gaga as musical guest on SNL last nite with Justin Timberwimp as the host? She was in a few of the skits, and was pretty funny. She also performed the hell out of the three new singles. Bradley Cooper love even showed up for a cameo.

Okay at ¢99 on Amazon, I had to download to see (I mean hear) what the hype was about. Word of mouth from a fashion diva friend in NY convinced me to do it on impulse.

If I downloaded a Lady Gaga album, everyone must be downloading it!

I don't know why folks are hard on "Hair". That song is one sweet, anthemic piece of uplifting candy. I was blasting it at full volume while driving down the highway about an hour ago. "Bad Kids", "Scheibe", "Heavy Metal Lover" and "Highway Unicorn" are the business as well.

I know this is ridiculous but I'm listening to this album and I'm in tears falloff

I can't.
