I've been hearing this more and more lately...I remember someone on TV calling Rihanna "the hottest female R&B star in the game" and I thought, Bey and Matthew would beg to differ (this was before she fired him) . Honey, stop talking and just create the music.

I'm sure Beyonce plan on pulling out an "Irreplaceable" or something generally more accessible soon. Afterall, she did work with Ne-yo again along with her usual suspects. I recall "Ring The Alarm" falling flat and then all of a sudden, her album was resurrected. She and her team grossly miscalculated the impact of that Girls song. They seriously need to reevaluate their strategy or expedite the next single. The video for (Girls) may be DOA. Nobody may care its out if they do follow though with it.

I am not surprised I knew that Beyonce is going go through her own spiral sooner or later.
Rihanna is not as talented as Beyone in terms of vocal talents but Rihanna has the better ability to adapt and reinvent herself then Beyonce can.
Beyonce's Sasha Fierce gimmick is the same as her Crazy In Love gimmick.
Rihanna also connects more the younger generation the upcomer tenny bopper groups whereas Beyonce is more cannot connect to the young generation like she used.
I am sorry to bring this up but age does play a factor in that business 29 years old is a old woman in that world.
Unless Beyonce really goes through the change and realize that she needs to diversify herself as a musician then she cannot hang on as a star.
The one problem with Rihanna is that she is "ify" is she really a wild party all night girl that we see some many times and have come and gone or is she really a disciplined artists all about her work and taking care herself which is a rarity and has been a part of Beyonce's sucess.

The Sun? That's the from the UK right?
Rihanna just may very well be a global sensation, I don't know.
I do know that the media here in the US has been trying to inflate Rihanna into this mega talented super star since Umbrella and especially after the Chris Brown incident.... It has slowly been catching on, but in the US it simply hasn't happened yet... Heck, Chris Brown himself has even achieved something recently that Rihanna still hasn't... a big number 1 debut on Billboard. I know it's not all about chart debuts (she's more of a gradual seller), but considering how hard they promote and try to push this girl into the stratosphere, it's kinda' telling....
You don't have to be the biggest Beyonce fan in the world to see that she is VERY talented and no one can take that away from her. It's all kinda silly when you look at all Bey has accomplished since Destiny's Child hit the scene. There really is NO comparison talent or career wise...
Rih still has a long way to go, but it makes a good story I guess.

Hee hee!! I'm not going to flame you or anything, we can just agree to disagree, but I can't believe you're talking about Rihanna like she's some sort of visionary artist/musician. Talking about gimmicks, I think Rihanna's whole persona is a gimmick. After her initial transition from young Carribean beauty with long hair into the current sex kitten, the only reinventing going on is her look and wardrobe.

Rihanna, Ke$ha, Brittney and Nicki Minaj run the world. And that's that! I'M NOT SAYING YOU'RE UGLY. YOU JUST HAVE BAD LUCK WHEN IT COMES TO MIRRORS AND SUNLIGHT!

Rihanna is much more of a dance influenced artist at least on her recent releases than Beyonce, who is more of an R&B influenced artist. Rihanna is doing well because she is doing what is the in sound now at radio, house electronic influenced music like Gaga does. Beyonce's sound is out now. Why do people insist on calling Rihanna an urban or R&B artist? Just because she's African American? Her recent singles are very dance, and not R&B at all.

Rihanna is a POP artist. She gets called R&B because she's black and because she's had a couple tracks go to #1 on the R&B chart. Mostly, her music is in the same vein as Brittney's sound. Brittney can't sing worth a damn tho. RiRi has a decent set of pipes. I'M NOT SAYING YOU'RE UGLY. YOU JUST HAVE BAD LUCK WHEN IT COMES TO MIRRORS AND SUNLIGHT!

Sounds about right, annoying as that is.
But then Gaga will release her album and the others will basically be pushed off the stove (shit, they probably won't even get a backburner...) Honey, stop talking and just create the music.

Why didn't you post the link: http://www.theprophetblog...on-beyonce
Because if you did, you would see that this article is from a known Beyonce hater and Britney fan. But since this is brought up, I will say what I said on another board: I remember telling a Rihanna fan when she said that she's the New Black It Girl and Bey isn't, I said to her, that this discussion is so 2003. I could careless if Bey is or isn't. I am here for her music and performing. So if Rihanna is the "Black It Girl" then it is okay IMO. I just long for the day when people, will see Bey's impact on Pop Music and at the least respect it without using rumors, to downplay it.

You can't be serious. She sounds ungodly in concert.

I kinda like her vocals live. I mean hell,,,,she sounds way better than Brittney. I'M NOT SAYING YOU'RE UGLY. YOU JUST HAVE BAD LUCK WHEN IT COMES TO MIRRORS AND SUNLIGHT!

Being DETHRONED inplies that you actually ruled over something at some point. REPLACING someone who you have DETHRONED implies that you now rule over the aforementioned something. Neither of these facts are in evidence in this case!
When go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all up in the house but when log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

No matter who wins the popularity contest, Rihanna can't sing worth a damn. Has the world gone tone deaf or is everyone under media hypnosis?

It's gotta be hypnosis. Least Beyonce can SING.

People think Beyonce is over just cuz one single didn't light up the airwaves... she didn't even give it any promo. Give it time and wait till the album comes out, you know she's not gonna let Kelly Rowland or Rihanna snatch her weave. 2012: The Queen Returns

As much as I would LOVE to see Queen Beyonce knocked off her thrown, even I have a problem with Rhianna being the one to do it. That just ain't right! "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley

beyonce will be alright even if she is "dethroned"
when beyonce gets older she will always have sold fan base that will love to see her perform even in at her older age just..like prince, MJ, and madonna ect..
why? because shes a great performer/ singer she has talent
but when miss rihannas flame is fizzling she gonna have a hardtime transitioning to "old live performer " because she terrible Live , which is mess because why are you even on the charts and you cant even hype a crowd full of non fans .. but anyway look at the older singers what do they make there money on? ....yes, Perfomances!!
rihanna is gunning to stay popular because she knows not enough people believe in her talent

I wouldn't say Rihanna is a pro by any means, but her voice has made significant improvemants and I appreciate that she sings live not to mention she is constantly putting out new music. I don't love her like I do Gaga or Madonna but I certainly enjoy her. p.s. she is Celine Dion compared to Britney. 2012: The Queen Returns

that shouldnt be the case if your gonna make pro-singer money you need to least be a pro -singer, pro dancer or pro-performer..
you need to come in game already ready
you dont see football players that play on a high school level playing on a pro team and people saying oh he'll get better..no!
should be the same with music but eh

That's an insult to Celine.
As for this dethroning thing... please. Rihanna's another form of pop and so is Beyonce (I call her simply a pop artist).
No one's dethroning anybody.

Right:
The bold is the half that's right. She's not R&B at all. The closest she's came to being Rhythm & Blues was "Unfaithful" but even that wasn't certified R&B. She basically is the black Britney. Rihanna is just as Pop as anything. Beyonce has made R&B records in the past and has the ability to make R&B records which is probably what's gonna save her career once the prime years are over.
Top 40 is fickle as hell. Diana, Janet, and Whitney were all crossovers in the same vein as B but began to stall on their stations after a while.
Wrong:
Britney's tone is much better than Rihanna's. Plus the accent is an annoyance factor in a lot of her material.
