Some Luther covers I can take it or leave it. Others he made completely his own ("A House Is Not a Home", "Having a Party" mixing it with an original, "Bad Boy", and "Anyone Who Had a Heart") and others where I thought he was good but preferred the originals ("Creepin'", "If This World Were Mine", "If Only For One Night", etc.)
His cover of "Since I Lost My Baby" goes in the latter category. Good cover but David took it to a nether level man...

It was in the late 80s when he worked with them. I can't recall the album now, but it was mentioned in his autobiography. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

Unless it was their 1989 album, Special, I don't recall. The album wasn't so successful so he might've done something with them that remained unreleased. Interesting they would mention a collaboration in his biography.

I prefer Luther's version He was a master at remakes, one of the few artists who could take a classic song and make it his own.Look what he did with the Carpenter's "Superstar".
