Andy Allo

Let's start another thread on this singer, and refresh the one from last August, 2010. Here's Cameroon-born singer Andy Allo, but later moved to Los Angeles to pursue her career. She was featured on the Africa Channel last year:

She was on stage last night with Prince at the Troubadar, she sang Marvin's "Let's Get It On". It was awesome!

I know. I'm shocked because I did a thread on her in August, 2010 in this forum, and now she ends performing on stage in a club on stage with one of Prince's band members, with Prince backing them. How cool is that? Here's the thread link from back in August 2010, that I posted here:

I'm glad she's getting some light shed on her talent. I saw her on the Africa channel perform back in August and loved her voice. It was an hour long show. I swear her and Esperanza could pass for long, lost siblings. lol I believe it was the Africa Channel's Red Kiva program or another music program that they had, can't remember, but I believe she said she was born in Cameroon, but later ended moving to L.A. since then.

Here's Andy singing a cover of Bob Marley's "Waiting in Vain" . I heard she also sang this at the Troubadour, I think along with Prince's show on 5/12/11.

She's also a correspondent for G4's Attack of the Show which is how I was introduced to her.

I've always thought she was gorgeous and I haven't really heard her music until now. She's great.

How can anybody not melt when she smiles and sings?

She's the best!

99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.

Looks like after her onstage appearance at Prince's show at the Troubadour last week, the Africachannel is re-airing a special on Andy Allo tonight on their channel, from last year, tonight, 5/14/11, 9pm EST on their "Africa Soundstage" program.
