Your Favorite Electronic Albums!

Electronic music covers such a wide range of sounds.. from dubstep to trip-hop to IDM to electro to downtempo to drum n' bass to electro to techno to electroclash (and plenty more that I'm forgetting, I'm sure)..

What are some of your favorites?

I have a few..

I love at least one song from each of these albums..

"Smalltown Boy" from Age of Consent. "Midnight," "Goodbye Seventies," "Don't Go" and "Situation" from Upstairs at Eric's. "Sex.. I'm a" and "Metro" from Pleasure Victim.

Violator is a classic through and through. Love the 1-2-3 of "World In My Eyes," "The Sweetest Perfection" and "Personal Jesus." Have you heard Goldfrapp's mix of "Halo"?

It's better than the original, IMO.

I know nothing of modern Japanese music apart from Utada's stateside releases and a couple of singles like "Travelling," "Sakura Drops" and "Colours" (which is lovely).

Oh yeah! And Yellow Magic Orchestra and its members Ryuichi Sakamoto and Yukihiro Takahashi.

Yay for Daft Punk! That album is great! Favorite song is "Phoenix." The b-side from that era is great as well -- "Musique".

Adore is an "all-time" record for me. It's the one that's played most of their work and am in complete agreeance about the sound and lyrics. Billy Corgan's mother had passed at the time and the lyrics reflect both hope and despair. It's a warm record.

Haven't heard any of the others.. The covers are creating an unfavorable reaction lol. I know it's not fair to judge a record by its cover, but sometimes it's admittedly done. Like right now lol.

Have never really explored gothic-industrial music. hmmm

I know Ms. Daou from "The Black Forest," but that song (and video) is a vague memory.
