I'm going to mess with you about it from now on.
No, I would never do that. Even though I don't like elevator music, I do respect the fact there are talented musicians that make elevator music. But at least you know that a lot of people consider it as "uncool" music and have a sense of humor about it. You're secure with yourself.
However.......don't be offended when I use it as a weapon to compare to shit hop (tempo-wise) by using a genre of music that is considered "uncool" to compare to shit hop to make it's listeners not want to feel like a bunch of dorky geeks for listening to shit hop. That's always been one of my faaaavorite tactics against them......."You know I could put a shit hop record on one turntable and a classical record on another turntable and I would have to slow the tempo down on the classical record in order to mix and blend the two. Now you know y'all some dorky ass motherfuckers when you're slower than classical music".....Hey, nobody wants to be considered "uncool" and I've seen some of them (the shit hoppers) get pissed. And of course, I just say to myself, "mission accomplished".
Don't make me have to send you some of my Weather Channel "cuts".
Timmy, hold me back!
I got your back. |

A year ago I did an audit of my cd collection - it stood at 5000.
It goes from Fiona Apple to Zeplin. It crosses pretty much every genre with perhaps only Country missing.
Diversity in musical tastes continually rewards you as someone, somewhere is always pushing the boundary.
If you feel stuck in a genre rut, ask someone what they're listening to - it might just introduce you to your next big musical love. "I'm not human I'm a dove, I'm ur conscience. I am love" |
