Yeah u have got some of my faves on that list, its honestly tough to come up with this one, not because i dont like 20 female singers but the "all time" thing is pretty tough.

But not in order i would say

Joni Mitchell

Aretha Franklin

Cyndi Lauper

Madonna

Ann Wilson

Pat Benatar

Joan Jett

Norah Jones

Diana Ross

Chaka Khan

Teri Nunn (of Berlin)

Debbie Harry

Lisa Lisa

Annie Lennox

yeah its tough because the styles are so varied with them, i mean theres stuff that Teri Nunn of Berlin has done that I could never hear Carly Simon or Joni Mitchell doing and vice versa. Its tough though because i tend to listen more to male artists overall thats why the whole "all time thing" is a tough one to put together with females.

In no particular order: Minnie Riperton, Bjork, Feist, Ms. Jack Davey[J DaVeY], Harriet Wheeler[lead singer of The Sundays], Sade, Georgia Anne Muldrow, Muhsinah, Sabina Sciubba[Lead Singer of The Brazilian Girls], Karen O[Lead Singer of The Yeah Yeah Yeah's], Jazmine Sullivan, India Arie, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Janet Jackson, Janelle Monae, Joni Mitchell, Kate Bush, Grazyna Lobaszewska[her 70's & 80's stuff is absolutely dope], Yukimi Nagano[Lead Singer of Little Dragon]. I have more than 20 that I like, but you said either 10 or 20. So I went with my favorites who instantly popped up in my head at this particular moment lol...oh yeah, Honorable Mentions: Aretha Franklin, Joss Stone, Mika Nakashima, Adele,
Sylvia Robinson...It's even more than this, but I'm trying to follow your 10 or 20 rule [& failing miserably lol] I prefer female singers to male anyway! lol

Adorecream

This is so hard, but here goes (And yes this is super camp, my male list looks much more masculine by comparison)

1. Barbra Streisand (Just amazing, don't believe me watch Funny girl and listen to Woman In Love))

2. Donna Summer (Greatest Voice and disco singer ever)

3. Whitney Houston (Solely for the 1985 -1992, her voice was just amazing and flawless, she had so much power)

4. Bette Midler (Another one whose iconic songs like The Rose and Wind Beneath my wings I love)

5. Grace Jones (A legend, a diva, a vamp, a demon and a goddess in every way)

6. Shirley Bassey (Elegance, fabulosity, bravura vocals and a prima diva all rolled in to one wool moquette, sequined taffeta fur lined gown).

7. Madonna (The sheer body of work overwhelms you)

8. Billie Holiday (Just so tragic and fabulous in one)

9. Diana Ross (No comment, she oozes diva)

10. Celine Dion (I know, but some of her songs are just beyond amazing - Because you loved me, power of love etc and My heart will go on)

11. Aretha Franklin

12. Gladys Knight

13. Sade (So many great songs, your love is king, no ordinary love)

14. Tina Turner

15. Chaka Khan

16. Olivia Newton John (Everyone in the antipodes loves her and "Magic" is amazing song)

17. Sheena Easton

18. Annie Lennox (Solo and Eurythmics)

19. Syreeta Wright/ Wonder (There is a song called, Can't give back the Love I feel for you - Wow!!!! and Harmour Love to name a few)

20. Valerie Simpson (Besides her work with Ashford she wrote for Motown and did a few trax in the 70s, like "Silly Wasn't I"

21. Lady Gaga - Most enjoyable diva of 2010's

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name
