Pat Metheny - What's It All About
Following the Grammy–winning 2001 solo acoustic record One Quiet Night, Metheny began regularly playing the specially tuned baritone guitar he used on that album in the breaks between sound check and the show when he was on the road. “Almost every day as I worked through one well-known tune or another, various visitors or local crew people would come up to me and ask which record it was on, and I would have to say that I had never made a record like that,” Metheny says. “And over the years, I have had it in the back of my mind that I should do an album of some of those tunes at some point.”

The tune in the 1st video is really calm, kinda fits with the drizzle outside. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Her Shadows And Light band was killer. (Pat Metheny, Jaco Pastorius, Michael Brecker, The Persuasions on vocals)
...such a beautiful composition.
I'm sure Paligap will chime in with some album pics. There's a lot to choose from depending on which style you prefer to hear him in.

PMG like PFunk, Prince and Stevie are bands I was in from gitgo and saw live as often as they had new releases (not so much with Jimi and Miles cuz they were way into their thang by the time I became aware).
So on that note... doin' any more of those 21 nights? Couldn't have made it to Troubador if I'd known about it.
If not, Stan Clarke is over at Catalina's 'til Sat. (no Sunday show). test

Tomorrow will probably be my last 21 Niter (but who knows). If another Troubador type gig pops up that would be interesting.
So Stanley's at Catalina's...hmmmm

I'm going to have to break my promise to Alan. I told him i'd show at Club Nokia. If that wasn't enough, I talked with Jesse Johnson and he's playing in NoHo at The Federal Bar on Friday.
I need to clone myself somehow.
