Unless it's a website like Funkytown Grooves, who offers nice discounts on pre-orders, I never order directly from the label. It's usually too expensive. Most of my BBR reissues I've ordered from private sellers on amazon.com and I usually end up saving anywhere from $3-$5.

Agreed! When those limited editions are discontinued, sellers sell those suckers for over $100 dollars. (Perfect example: Marvin Gaye's In Our Lifetime? Expanded Love Man Edition)

I've ordered from Hip-O-Select in the past and didn't have any problems.I bought the Rick James remasters of 'Fire It Up' and 'Garden Of Love' from Hip-O and received them very quickly.I went ahead and ordered the rarities collection from amazon since Hip-O was saying it was "sold out" just a few days ago.

I haven't listened to Chains in a long time, usually I go for Tune In Tomorrow and the Springtime blend from IITF. Good on you for the sweet post.

I will be ordering the expanded edition. I will be fidgeting until then because I can't find a good recording of First Class Love to listen to online.

Pre-ordered my copy of Rare Tee from HMV. I remembered they carried Hip-O Motown's MJ compilation a couple summers ago too, so I figured they had connections to that distributor. It's not even considered an import, and it's the same price as Amazon (sans shipping!).

Hip-O-Select sent me an email today,letting me know that the CDs I ordered have been shipped out I should have them by this weekend!

Lucky you! I received an email today from Amazon UK that the three releases will be two weeks late (in Europe, they should still be available late June in the US).
