What sets her apart from all the other generic R &B female acts singing tired lyrics over monotonous beats? Absolutely nothing.

Agree. I was disappointed in the song. I actually had high hopes for her.

She's wasn't trying to be Linda Jones. I kinda find it nice to see, a girl who is not taking off her clothes in a video or during a performance.

Yeah you're right Timmy ....Winning the title from Idol didnt do a whole lot for her career. Yes she can sing but who's her target audience? Her team probably was unsure how to market her. She struck Gold with the duet with Chris Brown but her followup singles never went Top Ten. Rhianna is no great talent but she does have a better team behind her than Jordin.

Exactly. Also it seems like NONE of the "Idol" contestants got any good representation seeing as how most are linked to the same company (19E). If a record doesn't do well or underperforms, they don't get taken seriously anymore.

I think I said that in response to people being a little too hard on people that aren't from the generation before. I'm guilty of this too, but I think it's unfair if it happens to those that do have talent or not getting recognition. I think her voice is nice, even if it's cookie cutter pop. Battlefield is an underrated song for example, once I was able to forgive her for lifting the lyric "love is a battlefield"

Ever since she freaked on the VMAs about purity ring jokes I KNEW she would go this route. It was inevitable and pretty pathetic. She's going through her "growing up = getting slutty" phase.
