Beyonce sings like a farmer hollering to someone across a cornfield. If only her weak vocalizing matched her attractive personal appearance. As for the album title, she will never receive praise for cleverness.

If she wants to be real, she ought to make it an EP and only put 4 tracks on it.
If she really wants to keep it real:
Go on a 4 city tour to promote the album
Wear only 4 tracks of weave hair
Go help that 4th Destiny Child who can't seem to get her career poppin
Get pregnant with quadruplets
Get divorced from camel lips in April 2012

Lenny Kravitz's fifth album was "5" . . . I don't remember any backlash over that.
Stone Temple Pilots' fourth album was titled "No. 4".
Prince's 2010 album was titled, well, 20Ten.
And so on.
I responded before I even saw this post, my bad lmao.
Yeah - I think people aren't getting the whole numbers thing. It goes a little deeper than just naming an album after a number because you can't think of anything else to call it. Especially if, again, you know your way around esoteric/metaphysical stuff at least a little bit, and know about the true meaning and significance of every number...
Now now, we truly believe that Bouncy is that deep?
I don't know, maybe it's just the way she sounds like a cow chewing cud every time she tries to piece together a sentence without using the word "amazing" that leaves me a tad skeptical... |

Right, and the same with those who are truly fans of Bey's music.
Hi there Curtwill1975,
How do you feel about RTW (Girls)? and How do you feel about Beyonce's roll out this time as a whole?
Hello. I very much like the song. The things that puts it over the top for me, is the vocal arrangments(harmonic arrangements especially) and the polyrhythmic nature of it. The weakest part is the lyrical structure but it's a club banger so it's far from the worst song lyrically. I give the song a A-/B+.
Well, as for the second question: The era hasn't fully started yet. From what I hear, of the sound of the album(from fans and critics who heard the 5 songs), it should be pretty good(at least to my ears' judgement LOL). I am just excited to see what Bey going to do especially coming into her 30s. It's a great time for her and as a fan, I am anticipating what she is going to do this era. |

Know what else? She's 3 months younger than Britney, no one cares that SHE's turning 20, she's all over the charts. I think she just made a bad song, has nothing to do with her age, could be racism too along with the ageism |

I would beg to differ on the era hasn't started yet. I would say the era began with all the pre-game hype when she started talking about the direction of the record. You recall the claims of "creating a new genre" of music. And then the annoucement of her dad stepping down as manager. All of that is the beginning of publicity for an upcoming project. Not to mention the release of the single itself. I put it this way, if the song would have taken off as many other of her singles has, they wouldn't be delaying the video's release or making adjustments to her roll out. The era has started, its just off to a slow start. |

Our local R&B radio station reported yesterday that the "Girls Who Run The World" video has been delayed because it's not very good I don't know if this is true or not,but the word is that the video doesn't live up to the hype and it is now being "re-tooled".That's a bad sign.Beyonce and her camp should have taken more time, chosen a better first single, and planned things out a little better. |

Well, I can see your points there. What I mean is that, at least for me, until the video comes out, the era hasn't fully started yet. Other than that, I see your points. |

Well, the video is going to come out tomorrow. We will see about that, but as for right now, tommorrow should be the premiere. As for the video itself, the critics who saw it(JustJared and Concrete Loop) said that it was very good. Vevo was the one put out that it was supposed to be out the next day after music and video viewing but according to a fan who was there and he is a moderator of bwboard(Bey's biggest unofficial message board) and is a liasion for the song as far as meeting with Sony/Columbia that it was coming out this week. He was told that the day of the music and video viewing. So it hasn't been delayed, there was never even an official date until now. |

"Those waiting to see Beyonce's music video for 'Run the World (Girls),' the lead single of her fourth studio album, aptly-titled '4', are going to have to wait longer.
The video was scheduled to debut today (May 13), but was pulled at the last minute because "Beyoncé is perfecting it,"
This was an article I was referring to from just last Friday. I guess someone in their camp said, "fuck it, release that shit anyway or had a better idea to premiere it on AI tomorrow. |

It was rumored, coming from Vevo, at first. Think about it, if it was going to be on AI, that means it was planned for that to happen. It wasn't coming out the next day after the video viewing.

I totally agree that she looks much older than 30...the other day on yahoo she made a headline for glowing and having a nice dress, I looked at more pictures from that event, and the non white ladies who were older than her looked YOUNGER than her and much more beautiful... |

Beyonce always seemed more mature and sophisticated than Britney, Britney was always the fun one from what I observed over the years, just as Rihanna is also fun. I guess the 25 and 35 comparison is interesting, but it seems like Beyonce is regressing a little, and I do agree that Britney isn't aging as well as I thought. |
